We seek to be instruments of God's peace,
bearing witness to the love of God in Jesus Christ
   for all people.

Thanks

The interim period will soon be over. In two weeks we will welcome our new rector and

St. Francis will begin its next chapter. Before we do that we will take time to thank

Randy and give thanks for his ministry during the past year. It has been a blessing

having Randy, Karin and Sadie as part of our St. Francis family during this time of

transition. Randy's warm and easy going manner gave us the feeling of an old friend

soon after his arrival. As we move forward we will have fond memories of this interim

time. Many have mentioned enjoying the sermons with "props", the seniors had two

pleasant afternoons of tea and fellowship, and we will all remember the weekend of

outdoor worship "Tanglewood style" at the labyrinth. The wardens, vestry and transition committee hope you will be able to attend one of the services this weekend, and the reception that follows, to thank Randy for his leadership.

Thank you, Randy.

Good-bye and Thank You Randy and Karin Wilburn!

Please join the Transition Committee in saying "good-bye" and "thank you" to Randy and Karin for their service to St. Francis this past year. This interim time has passed quickly and successfully with many thanks going to Randy and "all of the ministers of St. Francis Church." Receptions will be held after the Saturday and Sunday services.

Clothing drive for Nu Day Syria Relief The Mission Committee continues to be so grateful for all the wonderful donations for Syrian refugees. Just to let you all know that on Saturday, August 23rd all of these items will be packed in boxes at a facility in Nashua, New Hampshire. The boxes then go in a huge container bound for the besieged areas either in Syria or the borders of Lebanon. Your response has been heart-warming. Thanks for the additions of linens. The warmer items are going to be really needed as the cold weather approaches. You all are an amazing group.

Hope for Housing Cards will be sold in the narthex after all services.
