Search Committee Update...

The Search Committee met with Pamela Mott, our Canon from the diocese, who is supporting us during this transition and with members of the Profile Committee on Tuesday, February 11.  We learned a bit more about the timeline and the process of our search, and are very excited about getting started.   For reasons of confidentiality, we won't be able to share information regarding specific candidates, but we will communicate where we are in the process on a regular basis.

The wonderful work done by the Profile Committee to create a clear and accurate picture of our community has been posted both on our website and by the diocese.  It is now available for potential candidates to review.  Pamela Mott will be attending a regional event in late March at which she will have the opportunity to learn more about potential candidates and to present our profile to interested parties. The diocese screens all applicants and sends appropriate candidates to our attention.  It will then be our job to review the applications and select candidates to interview.

Our committee will be meeting again on Tuesday, February 25. Our main objective at that meeting is to construct a list of questions for candidates.  We would appreciate your help in this task.  There is a basket on the table in the narthex with index cards nearby.  If there is a question, or questions, you think would be helpful to include, please jot it down and leave it in the basket.  We truly need and value your input as we begin this very important work!

If you have questions, suggestions or comments at any time, please feel free to be in touch with me or any member of the Search Committee.  The names are listed on the bulletin board on the ramp.  I can be reached by email at rcarlo5@mac.com, or by phone at 508.341.1698.
