Ever wonder where the Sunday flowers come from?  Flower memorials...

The Altar Guild gets the flowers for the altar from Johnson Florist, but the funding for those flowers all comes from the same place - from flower memorials, given by parishioners in honor of someone they love. We don't have endowments for flowers, so we depend on gifts.

Although we do a special collection for both Easter and Christmas, our goal is to have every weekend of the year covered by a flower memorial donation. Each week we plan to spend $50 (on average) to provide altar flowers during the regular year or an arrangement of greens during Lent.

Do you have a family member or friend who you'd like to remember with flowers or greens on a given Sunday? Or do you have a special friend or child whose birthday or baptism you'd like to commemorate each year? You don't have to find a completely empty Sunday...we like to share...and are very happy to accommodate specific date requests.

If you're interested in giving a flower memorial, please click here to fill out a flower memorial form or talk to the parish administrator, Karen Heath, (stfran@verizon.net).

Hope for Housing....
