Greetings!
Back to school means a new distribution season for GTSF! Over the summer, we busily prepared the trailer and stocked up on everything needed to generate smiles on the faces of our 10,000 2013/2014 school-year shoe recipients! Thanks to the continued support of our very generous community partners, we're ready to kick off the new school year!

We recently had the pleasure of meeting another part of the 6pm team! These folks traveled all the way from Kentucky and were able to volunteer at a distribution event while in Vegas to see how their hard work affects kids right here in Nevada!

Special thanks to the amazing Zappos.com and 6pm teams for another incredible donation of shoes! GTSF staff and volunteers inventoried over 2,000 pairs of new shoes this week to prepare for our 12 upcoming fall distribution events!
The Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino is currently conducting a school supply drive to benefit GTSF participants. Employees are collecting donations through the end of September - thank you Golden Nugget!

The 4th Annual Rockin' Walk stands alone! This family-friendly, outdoor walking event has something for everyone! Enjoy live entertainment, great prizes, giveaways and goodie bags for all walkers (while supplies last)! Take in the day's football games on The Hill's 22 television screens, the incredible scenery, and maybe even catch a glimpse of the 132 PGA Tour professionals practicing for the weeklong Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, which begins Tuesday.
