community support |
We've had an amazing month thanks to some fantastic community partners - take a look!
Throughout the month of February, Miracle Mile Shops' "Caring, Giving, Changing" community campaign collected the change tossed into their fountains, and In just one month, collected $1,455.48 for GTSF! WOW! When Luchie, pictured here with her family members, heard about GTSF from our friends at Boom702, she couldn't wait to support our mission. Luchie's friends and family helped conduct a shoe drive to benefit GTSF! Way to be a positive role model in our community, Luchie!
Each year during the Mountain West Conference Basketball Tournament, cheerleaders and dance teams from each visiting MWC school compete for the GTSF Spirit Award - a commemorative bronzed shoe which is presented at the championship game to the team whose cheer or dance squad collected the most change for GTSF during Tournament week! The participating teams raised a record $7,674.13 for GTSF this year! Way to put your best foot forward!
Did you join us for ladies night out at Commonwealth with Fabulous Shoe Night? If so, you helped raise $1,095 for GTSF!! Thanks for supporting your community ladies and showing up in style! |

community corner - Casa de Luz |
Casa de Luz is a non-profit organization which serves the under privileged kids and families in the area of Las Vegas known as Naked City. Many of the kids they serve do not know of a life outside Naked City, and Casa de Luz works closely with the children to educate them on how to brighten their future. A few months ago the City of Las Vegas approved the rezoning of their property.
Trinity Haven Development, LLC will be donating construction management services for the project, and many subcontractors have offered to work at cost, donating most of the materials. However, Casa de Luz is still in need of additional building materials. If you can help with any of the items below, please reach out to them.
