Water Symposium Focuses on Green Infrastructure

We were excited to learn that green infrastructure was the focus of the North Carolina Green Industry Council Symposium on Water, which was held June 16 in Raleigh, NC.

The symposium presentations highlighted green infrastructure projects and emphasized their importance to our industry and broader society. Dr. Charlie Hall's keynote address talked about the vital role green infrastructure will play in economic development. He noted people are beginning to recognize and understand the importance of nature in the health and well-being of us all. And that presents opportunities for the green industry.

After lunch, the NCGIC named Hoffman Nursery the Blue-Green Innovator of the Year. Jill and John Hoffman accepted the lovely award and thanked the Hoffman Nursery employees for their dedication and hard work. The award recognizes outstanding leadership and innovation in environmental stewardship in regard to water conservation, water use efficiency, and the development and implementation of green infrastructure by an individual, organization, or government entity. We're honored to receive this recognition!
