As a security solution provider and technology provider, PSP Security understands the importance of safeguarding user biometric data and system data. That is why a number of security features are in-place in AccuFACE system to ensure user and system data cannot be easily retrieved by unauthorized person. These features may not be obvious to the user but they certainly make AccuFACE a more reliable and secure among other facial recognition systems.
(1) No USB interface
USB interface is a convenient way for user to upload/download data from a security device. However, it is also a convenient way for intruder to upload malicious spyware or virus to infiltrate and disable a security device. User could also retrieve system data easily through a USB interface resulting in a security breach. Nowadays, most banks, major business corporations, government agencies, military organizations, and government contractors have already banned or limited the use of USB device at their offices and facilities. Hence, you cannot find USB interface on professional security devices.
AccuFACE doesn't have USB interface. However, it offers system administrator a number of ways to upload/download data. With built-in Web and FTP server, AccuFACE requires proper authentication before administrator can upload/download data. AccuFACE also supports HTTPS connection to meet the highest security standard required by certain customers.
(2) Mechanism to prevent "fishing" of information
Many security devices would display user ID (or card ID) on device LCD screen during user enrollment or user authentication process. Security experts consider this security loophole "the first and crucial step" for intruder to break your overall security system!
If your security device (facial device, fingerprint device, etc) has keypad, intruder can randomly enter user ID and guess the correct ID based on the display on device LCD. Once they have the ID, they can find ways to fool the system or even infiltrate into the system. It is not difficult at all.
Understanding the security loophole, AccuFACE has mechanism that allows system administrator to configure the display of user ID. Administrator can disable the display of user ID during user enrollment or authentication so that others cannot see what the user ID is. If intruder enters random ID to AccuFACE through keypad, AccuFACE won't display any result of the entered ID. It can also log the event of receiving random/unknown ID and alert the administrator if needed.
AccuFACE also has other security features that make it a reliable security system you can trust. For more information about AccuFACE, please contact us: sales@pspsecurity.com
