Give Today in a Global Way
|
Today, November 29, is the largest Day of Giving on the planet. You only need glimpse your inbox for the wealth of worthy charitable choices. We hope you choose RUPCO as one of your top five investments this year. Your gift to RUPCO helps bring programs and services to our most vulnerable neighbors: seniors, the disabled, veterans and working families. For example, a $5 donation covers one child's creative supplies at Summer Arts Camp. Your $20 donation sends a senior to MAGIC of the Season. For $35, we place a holiday gift bag at the doorstep of a resident in need. And on the RUPCO Wish List, we cross our fingers for a $2500 children's yoga experience, a $5000 relationship software, and $7500 for video storytelling. Be a part of this one-day global giving experience and thanks for making RUPCO one of your choices today.

To address the critical need for senior and supportive housing in Ulster County, RUPCO presents Landmark Place. Located at 300 Flatbush Avenue, Kingston, Landmark Place is a campus with two proposed home sites. The first creates 34 supportive housing apartments through adaptive reuse and historical preservation of the former Alms House built between 1862-64. The second building of new construction brings 32 one-bedroom apartments for seniors 55 and over. The City of Kingston last saw senior housing built in 2001 and Governor Cuomo is calling for the creation of 1,200 new supportive housing units statewide to meet the growing need. We're hear to answer that challenge on both fronts. We believe Landmark Place is strategically located, and a ready choice to fulfill its calling for community service. We'll keep you posted with details on the latest zoning modifications, architectural renderings, and open house in 2017.
