Kathy Germain, Vice President of Housing Services for RUPCO's NeighborWorks® HomeOwnership Center (HOC) in Kingston, was appointed to the HOC National NeighborWorks®  Advisory Committee representing the Northeast Region. RUPCO is a charter member of NeighborWorks® America (NWA), a national advocate and clearinghouse for the affordable housing industry dedicated to creating living solutions for families and populations in need. Germain joins the 15-member group that helps NeighborWorks® America meet its strategic plan goals. As an independent contractor for the New York State Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), RUPCO spearheads the "Going Green" initiative here in the Hudson Valley. Partnering with SUNY-Sullivan this month, GJGNY brings together over a dozen energy-savvy experts and partners in sustainability like Sullivan County Planning, Sullivan Alliance for Sustainable Development, CCE-Sullivan, and NYSERDA's Mid-Hudson Economic Development Growth Extension (EDGE). The energy symposium addresses residential and commercial energy programs, renewable energy resources, and cost-effective programs for everyone from landlords to municipalities. This day-long symposium features speakers in three tracks addressing residential programs, commercial energy programs, and renewable energy resources.
