CSHS French Students Excel in Grand Concours
CSHS French students recently participated in the Grand Concours, the National French Exam, with over 85,000 French students nationwide. The exam is a challenging 60-minute, multiple choice exam that includes listening, reading and grammar. View the list of award winners here.

Reminder: School Closed Friday and Monday
Carroll ISD schools and offices will be closed Friday, May 27. This is an unused bad weather day built into the school calendar. School will also be closed Monday, May 30 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

Durham Intermediate Crowns Battle of the Books Champion
Another great showing happened recently at Durham Intermediate School's annual Battle of the Books. The 6th grade team of the "Flying Rainbow Cats" won this year's battle. The competition challenges reading comprehension in a game show format. See the winning team's photo on Facebook.

New Student Online Enrollment (NSOE)
CISD is continuing to move paperless. Families new to Carroll ISD may now enroll their students online via New Student Online Enrollment (NSOE) on the District’s website from any location at your convenience. Click HERE to begin enrolling a student. If you already have other students attending Carroll ISD, please login to Family Access and select the New Student Online Enrollment tab to begin the application process.

New for Bus Riders in 2016-2017 – Bus Safety Handbook & Bus Rider Contract 
Starting next school year all bus riders MUST have a parent or guardian signed ‘Bus Rider Contract’ submitted with the Bus Rider Registration form, indicating that they have received the Bus Safety Handbook and will agree to abide by the rules. Bus passes will not be issued until a signed contract has been submitted. The Bus Safety Handbook and Contract can be found on Carroll ISD's Transportation webpage.

Student Medication Pick Up By June 2
Please be advised if your student has medication or health supplies in the school clinic, these items must be picked up before the last day of school. Staff will not send medication home with any student. All medications, prescriptions and over the counter will be destroyed at the end of the day June 2. No medication will be “held over” for the next school year.

Save on 2016-17 Bus Passes Before August 1
School bus passes for 2016-2017 are now available for purchase. Purchase by Aug. 1 to take advantage of the early payment incentives of $250 for an annual individual pass or $500 for annual family passes and $135 for a semester individual pass or $270 for semester family passes. After Aug. 1, a 10% cost increase is applied and passes will cost $275 and $550 for the annual and $148 and $296 for the semester, respectively. The district is encouraging parents to register early to assist the Transportation Department in more effectively planning bus stops and routes. Routes for the 2016-2017 school year will be available online Aug. 15. Parents may find more information and purchase 2016-17 bus passes online here. Carroll EQ Club Hosting Community Event
Move the Needle is a campaign launched by Applied Inner Sciences and Carroll EQ Club with a goal to help better our community by raising awareness of the critical role emotions play in students lives. The EQ Club is hosting a free educational seminar on Saturday, June 4 from 3-4 p.m. at the Southlake Chamber of Commerce. Come learn more about what we can do to help our children develop skills that will last a lifetime. Dallas Cowboys Football Academy July 18-20
The Dallas Cowboys Youth Summer Camp are run by former NFL & USA Football certified players. This 3 day camp of skills and drills will introduce kids to each football position on the field.
