Record Day: Dragons Win Two Tennis State Championships

School Closed May 27 and May 30
Carroll ISD schools and offices will be closed Friday, May 27. This is an unused bad weather day built into the school calendar. School will also be closed Monday, May 30 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

Deadline Friday for Class of 2016 Videoboard Graduation Messages
The Dragon Marketing Department is offering the opportunity to purchase a personalized, 7-second graduation message with photos to appear on the Dragon Stadium videoboard on Friday, June 3, 2016. The cost per message is $50 with proceeds benefiting Carroll ISD's General Fund. Click here for more information and how to order. Deadline is Friday, May 20.

Project Graduation Tickets for Sale
Project Graduation is a Drug and Alcohol free celebration for Graduating Seniors. Seniors will have the chance to spend one last night with their graduating class, enjoy fun times and have a chance to win prizes like TVs, laptops, Apple Watches, Xboxes, jewelry and much more. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased on-line at https://www.ticketracker.com/store/events/1551. A price increase will occur on May 27, so get your tickets now.

Provide Feedback by Taking Carroll ISD Safety Survey - Deadline Wednesday
Carroll ISD has provided a safety survey for all parents and employees to fill out and offer feedback on school safety, security and wellness. Feedback is important as Carroll ISD strives to improve serving our students. Deadline to submit the survey is 5 p.m. Wednesday. All responses are anonymous. If you are a CISD parent or employee and did not receive the survey email, please email julie.thannum@southlakecarroll.edu. Some Verizon accounts have had difficulty receiving the survey emails. Please check email settings and, if needed, send a request for email to be resent.

Dragon Runner Produces Record-Setting Performance at State
Dragon junior distance runner Reed Brown became a state champion last Friday in record-setting fashion. Brown won the Class 6A gold medal in the 3,200 meters with a record time. Click here to read about Brown and the other Dragon runners competing at the state meet.

CISD Student Selected to US Chinese Bridge Team
Carroll junior Jarred Repice has been chosen to represent the Southern U.S. team at the World Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition in Beijing and Kunming China. Among all the U.S. contestants, only two make the team. World contestants are invited to compete in China in October as a Chinese government’s national guest. Repice is the fourth student from the CISD Chinese program to make U.S. World Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency team in the past five years. For more information about the competition, click here.

Audiobooks for Teens All Summer

CMS Theater Presents Alice in Wonderland

DPAC Presents Shrek the Musical
Dawson Performing Arts Company presents Shrek the Musical, May 18-20 at 7 p.m. in the Dawson cafeteria. Reserved $10 and $15 tickets can be purchased at https://ticketracker.com/store/events/1583. The performance on May 18 is $5 for CISD students and teachers with an ID and $5 tickets are available at the door for all performances.
