#SAFEdragon Update: Crosswalk Incident at CSHS
A Carroll Senior High School student suffered minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle in the crosswalk near the campus at Southlake Boulevard (FM 1709) and Peytonville Avenue this morning. Both the student and the driver were visibly shaken following the incident, but the student was able to walk away without assistance. Fire, ambulance and police personnel/vehicles were quickly on the scene. The parent was called and transported the teen to get medical attention for minor injuries sustained in the accident. We are extremely thankful the injuries were not more serious and we will continue to check on the student and driver.
Lady Dragons Meet Plano West in Area One-Game Playoff Tonight
The Carroll Lady Dragons face Plano West at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Flower Mound High School in a Class 6A area one-game playoff. Follow the game live on Gamechanger.
Dragon Baseball Faces Mansfield in Opening Playoff Round Tonight
The Carroll Dragon baseball team finished second in District 7-6A and opens the playoffs this week against Mansfield. The bi-district playoff series begins at 7:30 tonight at Mansfield. Game 2 is at 1 p.m. Saturday at Carroll and Game 3 (if necessary) will be played after Game 2. Read more about the Dragons here.
CMS Theater Presents Alice in Wonderland
CMS Theater is proud to present Alice in Wonderland, May 6 – 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the CMS Cafetorium. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at www.tickettracker.com or at the show entrance. View the show poster here.
CISD Transportation Employee of the Month
Congratulations to Sallie Carlton, the April Transportation Employee of the Month. Sallie has been with Carroll ISD for six years, and “enjoys each child, each and every one” that she encounters on the bus. Her favorite memories on her bus route are “when the high schoolers sing along to the rock n’ roll on the radio."
Old Union Elementary Senior Reception
Old Union Elementary will be celebrating the accomplishments of the OUES alumnae who are graduating this year. The invitation extends to all former students, whether you attended OUES for one year or four (parents are welcome as well.) Provide Feedback by Taking Carroll ISD Safety Survey
Carroll ISD has provided a safety survey for all parents and employees to fill out and offer feedback on the issue of school safety, security and wellness. The emails were sent Wednesday night. Feedback is important as Carroll ISD strives to improve serving our students. Deadline to submit the survey is 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 18. All responses are anonymous. If you are a CISD parent or employee and did not receive the survey email, please email julie.thannum@southlakecarroll.edu.

Remaining CISD Rangers Caps Available for Pick-Up with Voucher
For those who purchased Rangers tickets for CISD Night at the Ballpark and were unable to pick up their caps at the game, the caps are available for pickup at the CISD Administration Building. You must present your cap voucher in order to redeem your previously ordered cap. The deadline for cap pickup is Friday, May 13.

The Dragon Marketing Department is offering the opportunity to purchase a personalized, 7-second graduation message with photos to appear on the Dragon Stadium videoboard on Friday, June 3, 2016. White's Chapel UMC Presents Breaking the Power of Bad
White's Chapel UMC presents Breaking the Power of Bad, a panel discussion with Derek Hess, recovery specialists and others, on Monday, May 9 at 6.p.m The cost is $5. Kiwanis 5K Run 4 Kids May 14
Join Kiwanis at this year's 5K Run 4 Kids on Saturday, May 14 at Dragon Stadium. All participants receive a T-shirt and goodie bag. Race Day activities begin at 6:30 a.m. Click here for full race day details. Registration includes a $5 donation of choice, including CISD school PTOs.
Camp SOAR Offered for Children with Special Needs
Camp SOAR is a fun summer camp opportunity for children ages 5-21 where campers will play games and enjoy crafts and snacks. Participants are grouped by age and there is limited enrollment each week to maintain a safe camper to adult ratio. Camp hours are 1-4 p.m. daily during eight weeks of the summer.
