Dragon Golf Team Wins Region I Championship
The Carroll Dragon boys' golf team shot eight-under as a team to win the Class 6A Region I championship Tuesday afternoon. The Dragons advance to the 6A state championship. Read the results here.
Spring Signing Day Event Wednesday at CSHS
Carroll Senior High School will host a spring signing event at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 13 in the Student Activity Center. The ceremony will include 19 Carroll student-athletes signing athletic scholarships with colleges or universities. Click here to read the list of signees.
Purchase Class of 2016 Videoboard Graduation Message
The Dragon Marketing Department is offering the opportunity to purchase a personalized, 7-second graduation message with photos to appear on the Dragon Stadium videoboard on Friday, June 3, 2016. Carroll Softball, Baseball Double Feature Tonight
Tonight Carroll softball/baseball will both be in action at Carroll Senior High School. The Lady Dragons host Trinity at 7:15 p.m. and the Dragons host Colleyville Heritage at 7 p.m. Read more about both teams on MySouthlakeNews.com.
Carroll Indoor Percussion Earns Second at NTCA Championship
This past weekend, Carroll Indoor Percussion competed at the NTCA 2016 Percussion/Wind Championship in Burleson. The ensemble earned a silver Medal in Open Class. This was the group’s first year in Open Class and was the highest score ever in the history of Carroll Indoor. The ensemble is under the direction of David Walker who started the program when he came to Carroll three years ago.
Carroll Winterguard Competes in Ohio
The CISD Varsity Winterguard became semifinalists last week during the WGI in the Cintas Center in Dayton, Ohio. They performed in front of thousands of people and met their season goal of reaching the competition and finishing as semifinalists.

Dragon Robotics Hosting Which Wich Fundraiser Wednesday
Come out and support Carroll Robotics by eating at Which Wich in Southlake on Wednesday, April 13 and 50% of the proceeds will go to help send the Robotics team to the World Championships.
SAGT Hosting Roadmap Event April 20
Southlake Association for Gifted and Talented is proud to present the 8th annual Roadmap to Your Child's Success on April 20 at 9:30 a.m. Presenters will be CISD Administrators to discuss K-12 GT program, advanced academics, testing and course selection. Carroll Target Team Hosting Charity Sporting Clays Event May 6
The Carroll Target Program is hosting its inaugural charity event on May 6 at the Dallas Gun Club. The event includes a round of Sporting Clays at one of the top-ranked shooting courses in the country and help raise funds to benefit the Carroll students and volunteer coaches. Funds raised from the event with be used for scholarships, travel costs, training, and team assets. The event is open to all skill levels. Click here for more details.

Secondary Textbook Adoption Showcase
Carroll ISD will be showcasing Secondary Social Studies and Mathematics textbooks on Friday, April 15, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the CISD Administration Center, located at 2400 North Carroll Ave.
Ledbetter Being Inducted into Texas HS Football Hall of Fame
Former Carroll Dragon football Bob Ledbetter will be inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, May 7 in Waco. Ledbetter, who served as Carroll football coach and athletic director from 1979 to 1996, is part of an eight-member class which also includes LaDainian Tomlinson and Vince Young. 6th Annual Fun Family Fit Day Benefitting Community Storehouse
Join Community Storehouse as they raise money for the Summer Food Program on Saturday, April 16, from 9-9:45 a.m. at Keller Pointe Park for a fun, family-friendly fit day. There will be prize drawings, goodie bags for kids under 10, and face painting. The cost is $10 per person or $40 for an entire family. View the event flyer for more information.
Support Group for Parents of Children with Special Needs
This is a six-week therapeutic support group for parents/guardians of parents raising a child with special needs. It will be led by a mental health professional who is also a parent of a child with special needs. The group will meet Thursdays from 10-11:30 a.m. beginning April 14 at the Heritage Counseling Associates in Keller. Cost is $150 for all six sessions.
