Dragons Win Second Place at Chinese Bridge Competition
Carroll students Samuel Ortiz (Junior, Mandarin 4 AP) and Jarred Repice (Junior, Manadrin 3 Pre-AP) both won second place at the Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition at UT Dallas on Sunday. Chinese Bridge is a Chinese language, culture, and talent competition organized by National Hanban Organization of China. Students compete by giving a speech in Mandarin, answer 20 Chinese culture questions in Chinese, and perform a Chinese talent. Top winners from the local round advances to Southern U.S. Region. Subsequently region champion represent US to compete in China against contestants from around the world. For more info about the competition, click here.

Carroll ISD Night at the Ballpark April 29
Join Carroll ISD and the Texas Rangers for Carroll ISD Night at the Ballpark on Friday, April 29 at 7:05 p.m. as the Texas Rangers take on the Los Angeles Angels. In addition to discounted tickets for Carroll students, the first 1,500 tickets sold will also receive a voucher for a special Carroll-themed Texas Rangers cap, available for pickup at the game. Help Support Carroll Medical Academy at Which Wich on Wednesday
Which Wich has graciously offered to donate funds back to the Carroll Medical Academy for those supporters who place an order and mention CMA at Which Wich in Southlake on Wednesday, April 6. In addition, if CISD teachers, or parents place a catering order the week of April 4 they will all donate a portion back to CMA. Don't forget to mention CMA (Carroll Medical Academy).

Carroll EQ Club Presents Vitality - A Fun Family Experience

Scholarship Applications for Seniors

CEF Offers 10 Senior ScholarshipsDeadline Thursday
The Carroll Education Foundation is accepting applications for ten $1,000 CEF Senior Scholarships for qualified seniors. Requirements and the application link are found here. CEF heavily relies on the generosity of sponsors and donors to fund the over $1.2 million in grants and $200,000 in senior scholarships provided since inception. You can support CEF in its 20th Anniversary of giving back to Carroll ISD with a donation. Southlake Women’s Club Offering Scholarships to Graduating Seniors - Deadline Friday
The Southlake Women's Club is happy to announce that $20,000 in college scholarships will be awarded to Carroll Senior High graduating seniors at their May Awards Ceremony. The application can be found online at www.southlakewomensclub.org, and the deadline for applying is Friday, April 8.

Drew Ducatelli Memorial Scholarship Taking Applicants- Deadline April 15
Applications are being accepted for The Drew Ducatelli Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $5,000. The due date for applications is April 15. Scholarship Opportunties for Graduating Seniors - Deadline April 25
The CHS/CSHS PTO is now accepting scholarship applications for graduating seniors. The application process involves an application, at least 2 teacher evaluations, transcripts, and a 200-250 word, typed narrative on post graduation goals. Five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded and announced at the Senior Awards Ceremony on May 17. The deadline to submit an application to the guidance office at CSHS is Monday, April 25. SAGT Accepting Scholarship Applications
The Southlake Association for Gifted and Talented (SAGT) is accepting applications for a $1,500 SAGT Senior Scholarship for a graduating senior. Requirements and the application link are found here.

Camp SOAR Offered for Children with Special Needs
Camp SOAR is a fun summer camp opportunity for children ages 5-21 where campers will play games and enjoy crafts and snacks.  Participants are grouped by age and there is limited enrollment each week to maintain a safe camper to adult ratio. Camp hours are 1 p.m.-4 p.m. daily during eight weeks of the summer. For more information about camp or any of the programs click here.

6th Annual Fun Family Fit Day Benefitting Community Storehouse
Join Community Storehouse as they raise money for the Summer Food Program on Saturday, April 16, from 9-9:45 a.m. at Keller Pointe Park for a fun, family-friendly fit day. There will be prize drawings, goodie bags for kids under 10, and face painting. The cost is $10 per person or $40 for an entire family. View the event flyer for more information.
