Carroll Soccer Teams In Playoff Action Tonight

Dragons Visit White House Easter Egg Roll
Two Carroll ISD students, Rachel Moon and Alex Moon, had the opportunity to attend the annual White House Easter Roll on Monday, March 28. This was the 138th year of the White House Easter Egg Roll and more than 35,000 people joined the President and First Lady on the White house South Lawn for games, stories, and the traditional egg roll. Indoor Percussion Claims Third Place at Mid-South Championships
Carroll Indoor Percussion spent Spring Break competing in the WGI Mid-South Championships in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This marked the first time the ensemble had competed at this level. Read more on MySouthlakeNews.com.

Carroll EQ Club Presents Vitality - A Fun Family Experience
An action packed fun day for mind and body development is coming soon to Carroll High School. Fitness and Resilience sessions for children and Empathy and Acceptance workshop for parents. Carroll Key Club to Host 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament

AP Booster Club Recruiting Testing Proctors
It is AP testing time at Carroll Senior High School and, once again, a record number of students taking AP tests. CSHS staff needs the support of adults to proctor exams.  If interested click here for further details and instructions.

Athletic Physical Information for 2016-2017 School Year
It is once again time for students to obtain their athletic physical for the 2016-2017 school year. Physicians, Nurses, and Physical Therapists from All-Star Orthopaedics, as well as other local physicians, will be working together to give your child the best physical assessment possible. Physicals will take place at the All-Star Orthopaedics offices. The cost of the physical is $25, with all the proceeds benefiting Carroll ISD Athletics. Get more information on MySouthlakeNews.com.

Drew Ducatelli Memorial Scholarship Taking Applicants
Applications are being accepted for The Drew Ducatelli Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $5,000. The due date for applications is April 15. AP Booster Club Scholarship Applications Due Friday
The AP Booster Club is now accepting applications for the Annual Senior Scholarships for graduating seniors. The application process includes an application form and a typed 500-550 word Narrative Essay utilizing the provided topic. Applicants must be current members of the AP Booster Club, and have taken at least one AP, Pre-AP, or Honors class at any time during high school. View the full application here.

CEF Offers 10 Senior ScholarshipsDeadline April 7
The Carroll Education Foundation is now accepting applications for ten $1,000 CEF Senior Scholarships for qualified seniors. Requirements and the application link are found here. CEF heavily relies on the generosity of sponsors and donors to fund the over $1.2 million in grants and $200,000 in senior scholarships provided since inception. You can support CEF in its 20th Anniversary of giving back to Carroll ISD with a donation. Southlake Women’s Club Offering Scholarships to Graduating Seniors
The Southlake Women's Club is happy to announce that $20,000 in college scholarships will be awarded to Carroll Senior High graduating seniors at their May Awards Ceremony. The application can be found online at www.southlakewomensclub.org, and the deadline for applying is Friday, April 8.

Scholarship Opportunties for Graduating Seniors
The CHS/CSHS PTO is now accepting scholarship applications for graduating seniors. The application process involves an application, at least 2 teacher evaluations, transcripts, and a 200-250 word, typed narrative on post graduation goals. Five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded and announced at the Senior Awards Ceremony on May 17. The deadline to submit an application to the guidance office at CSHS is Monday, April 25. The Southlake Association for Gifted and Talented (SAGT) is accepting applications for a $1,500 SAGT Senior Scholarship for a graduating senior. Requirements and the application link are found here.

Southlake Carroll Lacrosse Association Recognizes Seniors on Saturday
The Southlake Carroll Lacrosse Association will recognize seniors Saturday at Dragon Stadium. The varsity and JV girls play the Frisco Fury at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and the varsity and JV boys play Plano West at 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The senior recognition ceremony will be held between the varsity games at approximately 1:45 p.m. Cost is $5 for adults.

WNBA Guard Hosts Basketball Skills Clinic
WNBA guard Jia Perkins will host a basketball skills clinic April 2 at Carroll Middle School from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The clinic is open to girls ages 12-17 and costs $100 per participant and includes at T-shirt. Register today at jiaperkins.com.

Camp SOAR Offered for Children with Special Needs
Camp SOAR is a fun summer camp opportunity for children ages 5-21 where campers will play games and enjoy crafts and snacks.  Participants are grouped by age and there is limited enrollment each week to maintain a safe camper to adult ratio. 6th Annual Fun Family Fit Day Benefitting Community Storehouse
Join Community Storehouse as they raise money for the Summer Food Program on Saturday, April 16, from 9-9:45 a.m. at Keller Pointe Park for a fun, family-friendly fit day. There will be prize drawings, goodie bags for kids under 10, and face painting. The cost is $10 per person or $40 for an entire family. View the event flyer for more information.
