Kindergarten Registration Begins Wednesday
Carroll ISD kindergarten registration for the 2016-2017 school year begins Wednesday, March 30. Kindergarten enrollment packets are currently available by clicking here – choose 2016-2017 enrollment forms. Click here for campus-by-campus information.

CISD One Act Play Advances to Bi-District Competition
Carroll Theatre's One Act Play advanced to the Bi-District Competition after competing last Friday at Haltom High School. Individual awards were also given to Madeleine Louviere, Isabelle Hahn, Gareth Forsberg and Hannah Hamel. The next competition is Saturday, April 2 at South Grand Prairie High School. Lady Dragon Softball Hosts Strike Out Cancer Night
Tonight the Lady Dragon softball team will host Strike Out Cancer Night. The Lady Dragons face L.D. Bell at 7:15 p.m. The Lady Dragons are hosting a bake sale and a memory/honor wall. Fans can also purchase a $5 ball in honor or memory of someone.

Play It Forward Donation Drive Tonight
Southlake Play It Forward is hosting its 6th Annual Sports Equipment Drive at the varsity baseball/softball games tonight from 6-7:30 p.m. New or used sports equipment are accepted and benefit young athletes in need in the DFW area.

Dragon Baseball Hosts Richland: Special Programs Night
The Carroll Dragon baseball team hosts Richland at 7 p.m. in a District 7-6A game tonight. The game will also feature Special Programs Night at Dragon Field.

Dawson Student Wins Bobby Bragan Scholarship
Dawson Middle School eighth grade student Graham Chernik was recently recognized as a Bobby Bragan Scholarship award winner. Chernik is one of 37 eighth graders from across DFW to win this year's essay contest. In total, 252 applied for the award, which includes a $2,500 scholarship to the college of their choice.

CSHS "Connect" Art Exhibit Open This Week
The CSHS Art Exhibit "Connect" opened Monday at the CSHS Gallery. The art show includes work from all levels and will run during normal school hours until Friday, April 7. View the poster here

Carroll Key Club to Host 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament
Carroll Key Club is raising money for The W.A.R.M. place and Kiwanis at their 2nd Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 9 at Sky Creek Ranch. Availability for players, teams and sponsors still remains. View more information about the tournament here.

Carroll Show Choir Presents Jazz Café
The Carroll Show Choir is performing in a Jazz Cafe setting on Thursday, March 31 at 7:15 p.m. at Carroll Middle School. Tickets are $5 and deserts and beverages will be served. View the poster here.

Water Polo Teams Post Wins in Denton Tournament
The Lady Dragon water polo team won two games last weekend in the Denton Tournament. They defeated Denton Guyer 16-2 and Flower Mound 15-3. The Dragons defeated Denton Guyer 14-10 and tied Flower Mound 9-9.

Scholarship Opportunties for Graduating Seniors
The CHS/CSHS PTO is now accepting scholarship applications for graduating seniors. The application process involves an application, at least 2 teacher evaluations, transcripts, and a 200-250 word, typed narrative on post graduation goals. Five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded and announced at the Senior Awards Ceremony on May 17. The deadline to submit an application to the guidance office at CSHS is Monday, April 25. Southlake Women’s Club Offering Scholarships to Graduating Seniors
The Southlake Women's Club is happy to announce that $20,000 in college scholarships will be awarded to Carroll Senior High graduating seniors at their May Awards Ceremony. The application can be found online at www.southlakewomensclub.org, and the deadline for applying is Friday, April 8.

Dragon Hockey JV Competes For City Championship
The Dragon Hockey JV Team competes for the City Championship tonight. The Dragons will play the Plano Wildcats at the McKinney Dr Pepper Star Center, located at 6993 Stars Ave. Game time is 8:30 p.m. The Dragons handed the first-place Wildcats their only loss this year, beating them 3-0 in regular season play. Both the Dragons and Wildcats are undefeated in the playoffs.  

Athletic Physical Information for 2016-2017 School Year
It is once again time for students to obtain their athletic physical for the 2016-2017 school year. Physicians, Nurses, and Physical Therapists from All-Star Orthopaedics, as well as other local physicians, will be working together to give your child the best physical assessment possible. Physicals will take place at the All-Star Orthopaedics offices. The cost of the physical is $25, with all the proceeds benefiting Carroll ISD Athletics. Get more information on MySouthlakeNews.com.

WNBA Guard Hosts Basketball Skills Clinic
WNBA guard Jia Perkins will host a basketball skills clinic April 2 at Carroll Middle School from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The clinic is open to girls ages 12-17 and costs $100 per participant and includes at T-shirt. Register today at jiaperkins.com.

Olive Garden Spirit Night April 12
Olive Garden in Grapevine is hosting Spirit Night on April 12. Dine at Olive Garden and make a donation to your school. Don't forget to use #SpiritNight and tag @OliveGarden for a chance to win prizes. Olive Garden is located at 301 W. State Highway 114.

Volunteers Needed for "Art in the Square"
Southlake Women's Club is hosting "Art in the Square" in April and is in search for teen volunteers to get community service hours. Art in the Square will take place April 22, 23 and 24 in Southlake Town Square. Teen volunteers are needed to help supervise the kids' crafts, inflatables and rock walls, delivering refreshments to the artists throughout the weekend, as well as setting up and tearing down the equipment in the square. Altrusa DFW Hosts 5K in Bicentennial Park
Join CHS and CSHS as they help support Altrusa DFW with a 5K Run in the Park on Saturday, April 16 beginning at 8:30 a.m. in Bicentennial Park. This fun day benefiting charity will include free food, free digital photos, free face painting, National Anthem by Miss teen Southlake, 1 Mile and Awards ceremony with Miss Southlake and track star Colby Lowe running the USATF Certified 5k. Dogs are welcome and there will be a Best Dog Costume contest and Best Dog Trick contest. You can register for the run here. Register early for better pricing. 

Camp SOAR Offered for Children with Special Needs
Camp SOAR is a fun summer camp opportunity for children ages 5-21 where campers will play games and enjoy crafts and snacks.  Participants are grouped by age and there is limited enrollment each week to maintain a safe camper to adult ratio.
