Carroll ISD Schools Closed Friday
Carroll ISD schools and offices will be closed Friday. This is an unused bad weather day built into the school calendar. The second bad weather day is Friday, May 27. If this day goes unused, school will be closed.

CSHS Theatre Department Competes Tonight in UIL District Competition
The CSHS Theatre Department will perform its One Act Play in the UIL District Competition tonight 6:15 p.m. They will be performing Unchanging Love, by Romulus Linney, based on the short story In the Ravine by Anton Chekhov. The competition will take place at Haltom High School and is free to the public. View the article here

Soccer Playoff Doubleheader Tonight at Nolan

CSHS Participating in World's Largest Global eBook Club
Carroll Senior High will take part in the Overdrive Big Library Read program, the world’s largest global eBook reading club that connects millions of readers around the world with the same eBook at the same time. RES, WGES Night at Dragon Baseball Friday
The Dragon baseball team will host its first District 7-6A game at 7 p.m. Friday vs. Coppell. The game features Rockenbaugh and Walnut Grove Elementary night. Students from these schools should wear a Dragon T-shirt and check in at the front gate for free admission. Parents must pay the gate fee per UIL rules. The first nine students arriving from each school will run on the field when the lineup is announced. Students will receive free popcorn and the Dragon players will be available for autographs after the game.

Scholarship Opportunties for Graduating Seniors
The CHS/CSHS PTO is now accepting scholarship applications for graduating seniors. The application process involves an application, at least 2 teacher evaluations, transcripts, and a 200-250 word, typed narrative on post graduation goals. Five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded and announced at the Senior Awards Ceremony on May 17. The deadline to submit an application to the guidance office at CSHS is Monday, April 25. Leadership Southlake Kicks off "Band Aide" Fundraiser
Join Leadership Southlake Class 2015-2016 raise funds for “Band Aide," a program with a goal to raise $20,000 to donate to CISD Middle Schools. They will use these funds to purchase much needed instruments for the Carroll Middle School and Dawson Middle School band programs. Read more about "Band Aide"here.

Carillon Hosts "Jazz at the Oasis" Concert April 10
Carillon Southlake is hosting Jazz at the Oasis, a free concert featuring the Carroll High School Jazz Band on Sunday, April 10, from 2-4 p.m. Jazz at the Oasis is free and open to the public and will take place at the Oasis pool in Carillon. Read more about Jazz at the Oasis here.

CSHS "Connect" Art Exhibit Opens Monday
The CSHS Art Exhibit "Connect" will open on Monday, March 28 from 5-7 p.m. at the CSHS Gallery. The art show includes work from all levels and will run during normal school hours until Friday, April 7. View the poster here

Athletic Physical Information for 2016-2017 School Year
It is once again time for students to obtain their athletic physical for the 2016-2017 school year. Physicians, Nurses, and Physical Therapists from All-Star Orthopaedics, as well as other local physicians, will be working together to give your child the best physical assessment possible. Physicals will take place at the All-Star Orthopaedics offices. The cost of the physical is $25, with all the proceeds benefiting Carroll ISD Athletics. Get more information on MySouthlakeNews.com.

Olive Garden Spirit Night April 12
Olive Garden in Grapevine is hosting Spirit Night on April 12. Dine at Olive Garden and make a donation to your school. Don't forget to use #SpiritNight and tag @OliveGarden for a chance to win prizes. Olive Garden is located at 301 W. State Highway 114.

Volunteers Needed for "Art in the Square"
Southlake Women's Club is hosting "Art in the Square" in April and is in search for teen volunteers to get community service hours. Art in the Square will take place April 22, 23 and 24 in Southlake Town Square. Teen volunteers are needed to help supervise the kids' crafts, inflatables and rock walls, delivering refreshments to the artists throughout the weekend, as well as setting up and tearing down the equipment in the square. WNBA Guard Hosts Basketball Skills Clinic
WNBA guard Jia Perkins will host a basketball skills clinic April 2 at Carroll Middle School from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The clinic is open to girls ages 12-17 and costs $100 per participant and includes at T-shirt. Register today at jiaperkins.com.
