Carroll ISD Spring Storm Reminders/Procedures
Carroll ISD would like to remind staff and parents of our procedures for spring storms and severe weather. Tornado/storm drills are conducted regularly to help ensure staff and students know what to do in the event of approaching bad weather. Fire drills and lockdown drills are regular requirements in CISD schools, as well. CISD is also fortunate to have first responders on our campuses through the K-12 School Resource Officer program funded by the City of Southlake's Crime Control Tax. Read more on MySouthlakeNews.com.
CEF Accepting Applications for 10 Senior Scholarships
The Carroll Education Foundation is now accepting applications for ten $1,000 CEF Senior Scholarships for qualified seniors. Requirements and the application link are found here. CEF heavily relies on the generosity of sponsors and donors to fund the over $1.2M in grants and $200,000 in senior scholarships provided since inception. You can support CEF in its 20th Anniversary of giving back to Carroll ISD with a donation. Visit southlakecef.org for more information and for opportunities to support education in your community.
Dragon Soccer Hosts Senior Night Tonight
The Carroll Dragon boys' soccer team will highlight the seniors tonight in the final regular season home game at Dragon Stadium. The Dragons face Haltom at 7:30 p.m. The Lady Dragons play at Haltom at 7:30 p.m. tonight.
Lady Dragon Softball Game Postponed Until Wednesday
The Carroll Lady Dragon softball game has been postponed until Wednesday due to inclement weather. Carroll will play at Coppell at 7:15 p.m. in the District 7-6A opener Wednesday.
Art in the Square Showcases High School Artists
Art in the Square, a fine arts festival held at Southlake Town Square April 22-24 showcases artwork of world-wide renowned artists, emerging artists and high school artists. The contest is open to any student of high school age in Northeast Tarrant County including those in private schools and those who are home schooled. Read the full story here.
Winter Guard Cadets Take Second Place
The Carroll Winter Guard Cadets competed over the weekend against 16 other cadet guards at the NTCA Cadet Championships in Saginaw and scored second place in their round. In addition, they received a first place score in performance. The students were from four Carroll ISD schools. For more information on joining the cadets email joincarrollcadets@gmail.com.
Emerald Belles Victorious at State Competition
The Carroll Senior High School Emerald Belles competed at Texas State University in the ShowMaker State competition Feb. 26-27. The Belles placed 1st in high kick, 1st in jazz, and 1st in lyrical. They were awarded Overall Entertainment, Creative Costuming, Judge's Award, and Outstanding Choreography, Showmanship, Technique, and Precision in all three dances. Read the full story here.

Dragon Golf Tryouts for Incoming Freshmen

The Southlake Association for Gifted and Talented (SAGT) is now accepting applications for a $1,500 SAGT Senior Scholarship for a graduating senior. Click here for equirements and the application.
AP Booster Club Accepting Applications for Annual Senior Scholarships
The AP Booster Club is now accepting applications for the Annual Senior Scholarships for graduating seniors. The application process includes an application form and a typed 500-550 word Narrative Essay utilizing the provided topic. Applicants must be current members of the AP Booster Club, and have taken at least one AP, Pre-AP, or Honors class at any time during high school. View the full application here.
