Dragon Boys' Swimming/Diving Team Wins State Title
The Dragon boys' swimming/diving team won the Class 6A state title on Saturday. It marked the boys' 6th consecutive state championship. The Lady Dragons finished seventh overall. Read more about the state meet on MySouthlakeNews.com

Carroll Jazz Band Wins Big at Local Jazz Festival
The Carroll Jazz Band participated in the 2016 UTA Jazz Festival on Saturday, Feb. 20. The Jazz Band took three competing bands and came home with four First Place Trophies as well as three individual awards. View the full list of awards here.

Dragon Wrestling Finishes History-Making Season
The Carroll Dragon wrestling team sent a record six wrestlers to the UIL state meet and senior Jack Duval was the top finisher earning a runnerup finish. Adam Lindberg finished sixth. Read about all the finishes here.

Carroll ISD Spring Break March 14-18
Carroll ISD's spring break will be from March 14-18. All schools and offices will be closed during this time. Schools will resume regular schedules on Monday, March 21 - which will be a "B" day for high school students.

Chinese New Year Celebration at CHS
Celebrate the Chinese New Year at CHS with the Chinese Speech and Talent Contest on Thursday, March 10 from 6-8 p.m. in the CHS Cafeteria. There will be Chinese singing, dancing, martial art, Chinese yoy, and dragon dance performances by CISD Mandarin class tudents as well as guest performers. Admission to this event is free. Carroll Seniors Submit Your Applications
The CHS/CSHS PTO is now accepting scholarship applications for graduating seniors. The application process involves an application, at least two teacher evaluations, transcripts, and a 200-250 word, typed narrative on post graduation goals. Two, $1,000 scholarships will be awarded and announced at the Senior Awards Ceremony on May 17. The deadline to submit an application to the guidance office at CSHS is Monday, April 25. Dragon Basketball Team Faces Cedar Hill in Playoffs Tuesday

Southlake Basketball Hosting Tryouts March 6
Southlake Basketball will host boys and girls spring/summer team tryouts for grades 5-8 Sunday, March 6 at Carroll Senior High School. Session I will be for grades 5-6 from 2-3:45 p.m. Session II will be for grades 7-8 from 4-5:45 p.m. The tryout skills session is free. The season will run from late March through June. Deadline to register is March 5. On-site registration will also be available. Register here

Carroll Target Team Hosting Charity Sporting Clays Event May 6
The Carroll Target Program is hosting its inaugural charity event on May 6 at the Dallas Gun Club. Please join us for a round of Sporting Clays at one of the top ranked shooting courses in the country and help raise funds to benefit the Carroll students and volunteer coaches. Funds raised from the event with be used for scholarships, travel costs, training, and team assets. Event is open to all skill levels. Click here for more details.

Carroll Comedy Night Friday at CSHS
Don’t miss the 2nd annual Carroll Comedy Night featuring Paul Varghese from Last Comic Standing on Friday, Feb. 26, at 7:30 p.m. at the CSHS Auditorium.
