Carroll ISD Spring Break March 14-18
Carroll ISD's spring break will be from March 14-18. All schools and offices will be closed during this time. Schools will resume regular schedules on Monday, March 21 - which will be a "B" day for high school students.

School Board Filing Deadline Friday
Deadline for filing for three places on the Carroll Independent School District Board of Trustees is Friday. Two seats – Places 6 and 7, held by Matt Kormann and Christopher Archer, respectively – are three-year terms. The Place 1 seat held by Trustee Michele Moore is a one-year unexpired term. The election is held the first Saturday in May, which is May 7.

CISD Board Approves 2016-2017 School Calendar
The Carroll ISD School Board approved the 2016-2017 school calendar during Monday’s regular meeting.The Board approved Option 1 of the three drafts that were proposed. Click here to read more and see key dates for next year.

Durham Intermediate School “Potato Day”
Durham Intermediate students recently took a break from the classroom and got some hands-on learning in the garden. One science lab planted nine varieties of potatoes, five of which are experimental and have not been on the market. View the full story here.

CISD Special Programs will present “Walking the High Wire of Parenting a Child with Special Needs” on Monday, Feb. 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the CISD Administration Building, located at 2400 N. Carroll Ave. Holly Edwards, M.A. Licensed Professional Counselor Intern and parent of a CISD student with special needs, will provide discussion, tips and strategies for maintaining balance in your life, while navigating the logistics and the emotions of parenting a child with special needs.
