CISD Board Approves 2016-2017 School Calendar

Durham Intermediate 5th Grader Wins Geographic Bee

Wrestling Team Makes History at Region Meet
The Carroll Dragon wrestling team finished second at the UIL Region I meet last weekend and qualified for state in six weight classes and added two alternates - a record total for Carroll. Read more here.
School Board Filing Deadline Friday
Deadline for filing for three places on the Carroll Independent School District Board of Trustees is Friday. Two seats – Places 6 and 7, held by Matt Kormann and Christopher Archer, respectively – are three-year terms. The Place 1 seat held by Trustee Michele Moore is a one-year unexpired term. The election is held the first Saturday in May, which is May 7.
Special Programs Presents “Walking the High Wire of Parenting a Child with Special Needs”
CISD Special Programs will present “Walking the High Wire of Parenting a Child with Special Needs” on Monday, Feb. 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the CISD Administration Building, located at 2400 N. Carroll Ave. Holly Edwards, M.A. Licensed Professional Counselor Intern and parent of a CISD student with special needs, will provide discussion, tips and strategies for maintaining balance in your life, while navigating the logistics and the emotions of parenting a child with special needs. Carroll Indoor Drum Line Wins Big
The Carroll Indoor Drum Line competed in their first NTCA competition of the season on Saturday, Feb. 6, and came home with the second place trophy. Saturday marked the Drum Line’s first performance in the highly competitive Scholastic Marching Open Class. View the article here.

Order your 2016 Go Red For Women T-shirts and join CISD students and staff in supporting the American Heart Association's GO RED campaign. Last day to order shirts is Thursday, Feb. 18.
