No School Monday for Carroll Students
Carroll ISD students will not have classes on Monday, Feb. 15. This will serve as a professional development day for Carroll ISD staff and school offices will be closed. The Carroll ISD Administration Center will be open.
Dragon Senior Earns Stalcup Award
Carroll Dragon senior football player Anthony Gervasi was recently honored by the Southlake Kiwanis Club as this year's winner of the Stalcup "Heart of a Dragon" Award. This award is a tribute to the late Dragon defensive coordinator Charlie Stalcup. Gervasi was awarded a $1,500 scholarship and the winner is selected based on leadership, determination and attitude on and off the field.
Special Programs Presents “Walking the High Wire of Parenting a Child with Special Needs”
CISD Special Programs will present “Walking the High Wire of Parenting a Child with Special Needs” on Monday, Feb. 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the CISD Administration Building, located at 2400 N. Carroll Ave. Holly Edwards, M.A. Licensed Professional Counselor Intern and parent of a CISD student with special needs, will provide discussion, tips and strategies for maintaining balance in your life, while navigating the logistics and the emotions of parenting a child with special needs. Dragon Wrestling Competing at Region Meet

Soccer Update: Carroll Teams Face Haltom Tonight
The Carrol Lady Dragon soccer team hosts Haltom tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Dragon Stadium. The Dragons play at Haltom at 7:30 p.m.
Lady Dragon Basketball Playoff Game Tuesday

Carroll Jazz Band Receives Congratulatory Resolution From State Representative
The Carroll Jazz Band received a Resolution from State Representative Giovanni Capriglioni and the Texas House of Representatives recognizing the Carroll Jazz Program for its excellence. Representative Capriglioni gave each student in all three bands a signed copy of the Resolution. The Carroll Jazz Band have had an extremely successful season thus far, and continue that success into their current competition season. View the resolution here.
Glenn Earns National Coaching Recognition

Dragons Go RED Parent Challenge
Order your 2016 Go Red For Women T-shirts and join CISD students and staff in supporting the American Heart Association's GO RED campaign. Last day to order shirts is Thursday, Feb. 18. Shirts will be delivered directly to the CISD campus of your choice by the end of February. School Board Filing Deadline Feb. 19
Deadline for filing for three places on the Carroll Independent School District Board of Trustees is Feb. 19. Two seats – Places 6 and 7, held by Matt Kormann and Christopher Archer, respectively – are three-year terms. The Place 1 seat held by Trustee Michele Moore is a one-year unexpired term. The election is held the first Saturday in May, which is May 7.
Carroll Key Club to Host 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament
Carroll’s Key Club is raising money for The W.A.R.M. place and Kiwanis at their 2nd Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 9 at Sky Creek Ranch. Availability for players, teams and sponsors still remains. View more information about the tournament here.
Carroll Target Team Hosting Charity Sporting Clays Event May 6
The Carroll Target Program is hosting its inaugural charity event on May 6 at the Dallas Gun Club. Please join us for a round of Sporting Clays at one of the top ranked shooting courses in the country and help raise funds to benefit the Carroll students and volunteer coaches. Funds raised from the event with be used for scholarships, travel costs, training, and team assets. Event is open to all skill levels. Click here for more details.
