Dragons Moving to New District 5-6A Starting Next Year

District Opens Preschool Enrollment for 2016-2017 School Year
Preschool registration packets for the 2016-2017 school year are now available on the Preschool Program website. The lottery will be held on Feb.17 at 9:30 a.m at the Carroll ISD Administration Building. National Signing Day Event Wednesday Morning at CSHS

Dragon Band Members Advancing to State Solo & Ensemble Contest
Last weekend 200 members of the Dragon Band participated in the Region 24 UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest at Liberty HS in Frisco. The daylong contest, with 208 total entries, produced at the end of the day 126 individual Superior medals for solo work and 85 Superior medals for ensemble performances. CISD Hosts North Texas Region Odyssey of the Mind Tournament Feb. 27
Carroll ISD will host the North Texas Region Odyssey of the Mind Tournament at Carroll High School from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27. Sixty-two teams from across North Texas will compete, including 21 teams from Carroll. Carroll Clay Target Team Scores Top Finishes
This past weekend the Carroll Clay Target team split forces and competed in two events. Several members competed in the Dallas Gun Club Skeet Open. Read the results here.

Carroll High School Student to Perform at Album Release Concert
Cool Pony Media of Colleyville is thrilled to announce the release of the Electrofest Volume One compilation featuring Carroll High School sophomore Lauren Henriksen. Lauren was signed by Cool Pony Music when she was 13 years old, and will be releasing her first solo album this March. Lauren has also been named an ambassador of To Write Love on Her Arms, a non-profit organization that works closely with Cool Pony Media. Learn more about the album release concert here.

Dragon Colorguard Success at Winterguard Competition
The Dragon Cadet Unit, made up of students from Carroll Middle, Dawson Middle, and Eubanks Intermediate School, competed in the North Texas Colorguard Association’s Winterguard competition on Saturday, Jan. 23 at Lamar High School. The Cadet Unit received 2nd place in their class and took home a trophy. See the full article here.

Southlake’s Just Brass Band Donates Money to Adult Cancer Camp Program
The Just Brass Band, a local Southlake youth brass band ensemble, raised $1,300 by playing several concerts in Southlake Town Square during the months of November and December. The funds were donated to Texas Health HEB’s Bluebonnet Retreat Adult Cancer Program. Read more about the band’s fundraising efforts here.
