Carroll Basketball Tonight Includes Coaches vs. Cancer Support Night
The Carroll basketball teams host rival Coppell tonight at Carroll Senior High School. The Lady Dragons play at 6:30 p.m. and the Dragons start at 8 p.m. Tonight's games will help support Coaches vs. Cancer and include "White Out Night" for fans and a T-shirt giveaway. Donations will be accepted during the game as Dragon cheerleaders will pass buckets to collect donations on a Beat The Clock Challenge.

Soccer Teams Open District on the Road Tonight at Coppell

UIL Biennial Realignment & Reclassifcation Monday
The University Interscholastic League will reveal its Reclassifcation and Realignment for football and basketball on Monday. Carroll will learn its new Class 6A district opponents for the next two school years when the realignment is announced. The UIL will release the new districts at 9 a.m. Follow Carroll ISD social media for more updates Monday morning.

Carroll High School Student to Perform at Album Release Concert
Cool Pony Media of Colleyville is thrilled to announce the release of the Electrofest Volume One compilation featuring Carroll High School sophomore Lauren Henriksen. Lauren was signed by Cool Pony Music when she was 13 years old, and will be releasing her first solo album this March. Lauren has also been named an ambassador of To Write Love on Her Arms, a non-profit organization that works closely with Cool Pony Media. Learn more about the album release concert here.

Dragon Colorguard Success at Winterguard Competition
The Dragon Cadet Unit, made up of students from Carroll Middle, Dawson Middle, and Eubanks Intermediate School, competed in the North Texas Colorguard Association’s Winterguard competition on Saturday, Jan. 23 at Lamar High School. The Cadet Unit received 2nd place in their class and took home a trophy. See the full article here.

Southlake’s Just Brass Band Donates Money to Adult Cancer Camp Program
The Just Brass Band, a local Southlake youth brass band ensemble, raised $1,300 by playing several concerts in Southlake Town Square during the months of November and December. The funds were donated to Texas Health HEB’s Bluebonnet Retreat Adult Cancer Program. Read more about the band’s fundraising efforts here.

CSHS Student Council Blood Drive Feb. 18
The CSHS Student Council’s annual Blood Drive is Thursday, Feb. 18 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the CSHS Lecture Hall. Click here to reserve your time slot, although walk-ins are welcome. The blood drive, sponsored by Carter Blood Care, is open to students, staff, parents and anyone willing to donate. Sign-up now, time slots are filling up.

Storyteller Makes Visit to Durham Intermediate

School Board Filing Underway for May Election
Filing began Wednesday for three Places on the Carroll Independent School District Board of Trustees. Two seats – Places 6 and 7, held by Matt Kormann and Christopher Archer, respectively – are three-year terms. The Place 1 seat held by Trustee Michele Moore is a one-year unexpired term. The deadline to file for a place on the ballot is Feb. 19. The election is held the first Saturday in May, which is May 7. Read more on MySouthlakeNews.com.
