CSHS Student Council Blood Drive Feb. 18
The CSHS Student Council’s annual Blood Drive is Thursday, Feb. 18 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the CSHS Lecture Hall. Click here to reserve your time slot, although walk-ins are welcome. The blood drive, sponsored by Carter Blood Care, is open to students, staff, parents and anyone willing to donate. Sign-up now, time slots are filling up.

UIL Biennial Realignment & Reclassifcation Monday
The University Interscholastic League will reveal its Reclassifcation and Realignment for football and basketball on Monday. Carroll will learn its new Class 6A district opponents for the next two school years when the realignment is announced. The UIL will release the new districts at 9 a.m. Follow Carroll ISD social media for more updates Monday morning.

Storyteller Makes Visit to Durham Intermediate

CISD Students Selected to Perform at the Confucius Institute’s New Year Celebration
Three Mandarin class students, Chantal Meyer, Elizabeth Jory, and Grace Richmond, were selected to perform at DFW Confucius Institute’s 2016 Chinese New Year Celebration. The students will perform a singing/dancing/Taichi number at UT Dallas’ Clark Center on Saturday, Feb. 26, from 2:30–5 p.m. Admission is free, but advanced reservation is required. Carroll Medical Academy Applications, Essays Due Friday

Carroll Basketball Friday Includes Coaches vs. Cancer Support Night
The Carroll basketball teams host rival Coppell on Friday at Carroll Senior High School. The Lady Dragons play at 6:30 p.m. and the Dragons start at 8 p.m. Friday's games will help support Coaches vs. Cancer and include "White Out Night" for fans and a T-shirt giveaway. Donations will be accepted during the game as Dragon cheerleaders will pass buckets to collect donations on a Beat The Clock Challenge. During lunch on Friday, basketball team members will collect donations for the event.

Meeting for Middle School Athletes Interested in Tennis
All Carroll and Dawson Middle School athletes interested in playing tennis this spring need to attend a mandatory parent meeting at Carroll Senior High School's Student Activity Center on Feb. 3 from 6-7 p.m. All athletes need a current physical on file in order to participate. School Board Filing Underway for May Election
Filing began Wednesday for three Places on the Carroll Independent School District Board of Trustees. Two seats – Places 6 and 7, held by Matt Kormann and Christopher Archer, respectively – are three-year terms. The Place 1 seat held by Trustee Michele Moore is a one-year unexpired term. The deadline to file for a place on the ballot is Feb. 19. The election is held the first Saturday in May, which is May 7. Read more on MySouthlakeNews.com.

Community News: Mid-Cities Panhellenic Sorority Interest Meeting
Mid-Cities Panhellenic is hosting its annual Sorority Recruitment Forum on Feb. 21 from 3–5 p.m. in the Youth Building at First Baptist Church of Colleyville. The invitation is extended to all HS senior girls interested in sorority recruitment.
