Carroll’s Theatre Production “Scenes From A Chorus Line” Opens May 1
Tickets are on sale for Carroll Theatre’s production, “Scenes from A Chorus Line,” a stunning musical about a chorus auditioning for a Broadway musical. Come see why so many theatre goers were entranced by this “singular sensation.” Performances will be held on Friday, May 1 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday May 2 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Carroll Senior High Auditorium. Tickets are $15 and available for purchase at www.dragondrama.net. Open seating will be available and all are welcome. This is the final performance of the year for Carroll Theatre.
CISD Counseling Hosts Wellness Guest Speaker
Former Carroll ISD counselor Annie Tam, M.Ed., LPC returns on Tuesday, April 28 to speak about Adolescent Wellness. The presentation is hosted by the Carroll ISD Counseling Department and will be held in the Carroll High School Lecture Hall located at 800 White Chapel. The presentation will last approximately one hour and take place twice on Tuesday, April 28th, once at 9 a.m. and again at 7 p.m. Please RSVP to Erin.Smith@SouthlakeCarroll.edu. Chick-fil-A Hosts Relay for Life Southlake Fundraiser Tonight
Chick-fil-A Southlake will donate a portion of sales between 5-8 p.m. tonight to Relay For Life Southlake. Chick-fil-A is located at the corner of Kimball and Southlake Boulevard. Relay for Southlake is Friday, May 29 at Carroll High School. Click here for more information about relay.
Thursday Last Day to Order Official Relay For Life Southlake T-Shirt
Carroll ISD announces this year’s “Paint the Town Purple” t-shirt is available for purchase online. A portion of the donation will cover the cost of the shirt; the remaining money will be donated to Relay for Life Southlake. Carroll ISD teachers and staff will be allowed to wear this shirt on Thursdays in May with jeans. Order by April 23 and pick up Tuesday, May 6 at the Administration Building. Dragon Senior Surprised With LIVE BIG Scholarship
Carroll Dragon senior Craig Miller got a big surprise last week. He was awarded the LIVE BIG! Foundation scholarship worth $4,000 to be used toward college. Miller will be attending the TCU Honors College in the fall to study finance. Read more on MySouthlakeNews.com.
Dragon Robotics Reaches Quarterfinal in World Championships
The Carroll Robotics Team is celebrating a successful weekend at the VEX World Championships in Kentucky last weekend. The team reached the quarterfinal round in the competition and received a special award from judges. Click here to read more on MySouthlakeNews.com.
CISD Student Artwork Featured at Art in the Square This Weekend
The annual Art in the Square event returns to Southlake Town Square April 24- 26 and Carroll ISD student artwork will be among the featured works at event. The K-12 Student Art Show will be inside Town Hall on the second and third floors. Click here for exhibit hours. More information about Art in the Square 2015 can be found on the event’s website.
Athletic Physical Information for 2015-2016
Physicians, nurses, and physical therapists from All-Star Orthopaedics, as well as other local physicians, will be working together for physicals for CISD athletes. The cost of the physical is $30, with all the proceeds benefiting Carroll ISD Athletics. Click here for more information including the physical dates.
