Eubanks Intermediate Teacher Earns Prestigious Award
Eubanks Intermediate School teacher Janay Hunt was recently recognized with a prestigious award. Hunt was named winner of the Captain Molly Corbin Grapevine Chapter and the NSDAR Second Place (Texas) State Winner for Outstanding Teacher of American History. Read more on MySouthlakeNews.com.

Progression Art Show Opens Tonight at CSHS
The Carroll Senior High School Art Department announces a spring art show titled “Progression Show." The event opens tonight from 5-7 p.m. and runs through April 22 during normal school hours inside the Carroll Senior High Art Gallery. Campus visitors will need to check in at the front office.

Services Monday for Crystal Steele
Longtime Carroll employee and devout Dragon supporter Crystal Steele passed away April 9. She was 90. Her funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake. Mrs. Steele and her husband, Bob Steele, were inducted into the Dragon Hall of Honor in the fall. Mrs. Steele was the head of the Carroll cafeterias for more than 20 years and also ran the Village grocery and post office in town.

Dragon Golfers State Bound After Region Title
The Carroll Dragon golf team won the Class 6A Region I tournament on Tuesday in Arlington and qualified for the state tournament. The Carroll Black team won first place and the Carroll Green team finished sixth. Read more and see the photo of the Dragon on MySouthlakeNews.com.

Lady Dragons Vying For District Title
The Carroll Lady Dragon softball team is having an historic season.The Lady Dragons are vying for their first district championship since 2004. Carroll is currently tied for at least a co-championship. Follow the Lady Dragons on Gamechanger here. Carroll is 14-5 overall and 9-0 in District 7-6A. The Lady Dragons, who host Colleyville Heritage at 7:15 p.m. Friday, need one district victory to win the title outright.

Athletic Physical Information for 2015-2016
Physicians, nurses, and physical therapists from All-Star Orthopaedics, as well as other local physicians, will be working together for physicals for CISD athletes. The cost of the physical is $30, with all the proceeds benefiting Carroll ISD Athletics. Click here for more information including the physical dates.

Student athletic trainers are a vital part of any athletic team. They receive first-hand experience working with sports injuries and can earn volunteer hours while having fun. If your son/daughter would be interested please contact one of the athletic trainers. Click here for more information.

DMS Performing Arts Company Hosting Fundraiser
The Dawson Middle School Performing Arts Company (DPAC) and the cast of Aladdin will host Spirit night at Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Southlake on Friday. Eat at Dickey's between 5-9 p.m. and mention DPAC and the restaurant will donate 10% to support theater arts.

Summer School Registration Begins April 27
Get registered for Summer School 2015 beginning Monday, April 27. The first session will be held June 8-18 and the second session will be held June 19-July 1. For more information click here.

Middle School Swim & Dive Meet May 1-2
Carroll and Dawson Middle School will compete soon in a swimming and diving meet for 7th and 8th graders. The meet will be held at the Keller Natatorium on May 1-2. Entries are due by Tuesday, April 21. Click here for a middle school entry form and more information.

OUES Night Friday at Dragon Baseball
The Carroll Dragon baseball team will host Old Union Elementary School Night Friday at 7 p.m. at Dragon Field. Students, staff and parents from OUES will be recognized. Students wearing a Dragon T-shirt receive free admission. Parents are required to pay the gate fee. The first nine OUES students arriving to the game will take the field with the Dragon starters. All OUES students attending the game will be allowed on the field for the first pitch and receive one free popcorn.

Play It Forward Southlake Drive Friday
Play It Forward Southlake will host a new and used equipment drive Friday, April 17 at the Carroll varsity softball and baseball games at Carroll Senior High School from 5:30-7:45 p.m. The drive benefits young athletes in the DFW area. Come meet Pro Players from the Pro Players Foundation and get an autograph. Get a PIF Southlake bracelet upon giving a donation. The donation area will be in front of the baseball-softball complex. Eubanks Celebration of the Fine Arts Night Friday
The 10th Annual Eubanks Celebration of the Fine Arts Night will be held Friday, April 17 from 6-8 p.m. Please join EIS to celebrate the many fine talents of students with an evening of student artwork, band and choir performances, and outstanding solos and small ensembles. The celebration is free and open to the public.

Order Your Official Relay For Life Southlake T-Shirt
Carroll ISD announces this year’s “Paint the Town Purple” T-shirt is available for purchase online. A portion of the donation will cover the cost of the shirt; the remaining money will be donated to Relay for Life Southlake. Carroll ISD teachers and staff will be allowed to wear this shirt on Thursdays in May with jeans. Order by April 23 and pick up Tuesday, May 6 at the Administration Building.
