School Board Meeting Tonight

Carroll Latin Club Competes in Area Convention
Members of the Carroll Latin Club recently attended the Texas State Junior Classical League Area C Convention in Dallas and came home with multiple individual awards. The Dragons competed against students from 35 area high schools. Read the full story on MySouthlakeNews.com.
Time to Renew Dragon Football Season Tickets
Current Dragon football season ticket holders have until April 24 to renew tickets. After tickets are renewed, ticket holders are eligible for Trade Day on May 7. All open seats will go on sale at the CISD Administration Center on May 15.
PTO for Special Programs Hosting Book Fair at Barnes & Noble
The PTO for Special Programs is having its Book Fair at Barnes & Noble Saturday, April 11 from 9 a.m. - close. There will be performances all day including CISD Elementary Choirs and local soloists, Nashville Recording Artist Skylar Elise and much more. Check the Dragon eblast each day for more details on performances and appearances. A portion of sales at Barnes & Noble that day, including in the Cafe, will benefit the Department of Special Programs. CISD Student Artwork Featured at Art in the Square
The annual Art in the Square event returns to Southlake Town Square and Carroll ISD student artwork will be among the featured works at event. The K-12 Student Art Show will be inside Town Hall on the second and third floors. Click here for exhibit hours. More information about Art in the Square 2015 can be found on the event’s website.
Lady Dragon Teal Out Game Raises Awareness, Money
The Carroll Lady Dragon softball team recently hosted the second annual “Teal Out” game. Carroll hosted Haltom and the teams raised more than $3,000 for cancer awareness. Read more on MySouthlakeNews.com and see what happened between games.
Johnson Elementary Night Tuesday at Dragon Baseball
The Carroll Dragon baseball team will host Johnson Elementary School Night Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Dragon Field. Students, staff and parents from JES will be recognized. Students wearing a Dragon T-shirt receive free admission. Parents are required to pay the gate fee. The first nine JES students arriving to the game will take the field with the Dragon starters. All JES students attending the game will be allowed on the field for the first pitch and receive one free popcorn.
CMA's Field Day Helps Raise Donations
The 3rd Annual Field Day was a great success recently for the Carroll Medical Academy. Through sponsorship donations and T-shirt sales, the event raised approximately $1,500 in donations to be given to the UNT Health Science Center’s Pediatric Mobile Clinic. Read more on MySouthlakeNews.com.
Important Athletic Physical Information for 2015-2016
Physicians, nurses, and physical therapists from All-Star Orthopaedics, as well as other local physicians, will be working together for physicals for CISD athletes. The cost of the physical is $30, with all the proceeds benefiting Carroll ISD Athletics. Click for more information including the physical dates.
Durham Intermediate Hosts Fine Arts Showcase
DIS will be hosting the first-ever Fine Arts Showcase Friday, April 17 from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Durham Intermediate campus. This free event will showcase student artwork, choir, band, and individual performances. The public is invited to attend. Durham’s Fine Arts Showcase is sponsored by Southside Devices, LLC.

April marks the 30th Anniversary of School Library Month. Carroll ISD school libraries provide materials for teachers and students that will encourage growth and knowledge and develop literary, cultural, aesthetic appreciation, and ethical standards. Teams are forming now, visit http://www.relayforlife.org/southlaketx to register your team or join an existing one. The last day for teams to submit their $50 commitment is Friday, April 24. This year's Relay For Life will be held May 29.
