Carroll ISD Spring Break Next Week
Carroll ISD's spring break will be next week Monday, March 9 - Friday, March 13. All schools and offices will be closed during this time. Students return to class Monday, March 16. For students grades 9-12, the first day back from spring break will be a "B" day.

Dragons Participating Saturday in North Texas Teen Book Festival
Calling all lovers of teen literature – a new teen book festival is coming to North Texas. Tweens, teens, and the young at heart will celebrate teen literature together on Saturday, March 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Irving Convention Center. Read more onMySouthlakeNews.com.

Bad Weather Days Will Be Used in April, May
Carroll ISD will utilize the two bad weather days built into the 2014-2015 calendar due to school being closed for three days because of inclement winter weather. School will now be in session Friday, April 3 (which will be a "B" day) and Friday, May 22 ("A" day). Carroll ISD will apply for a waiver from the Texas Education Agency for the third missed day.

Skyward Family Access Maintenance Sunday
Skyward Family Access (gradebook) will be offline from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 8 for maintenance. During this time parents and students will be unable to login to check information. Thank you for your patience as we work to optimize system performance. Skyward will be back online after 6 p.m. Sunday.

Soccer Teams in Action Tonight
The Carroll Lady Dragon soccer team plays at Colleyville Heritage at 7:30 p.m. The Lady Dragons are in first place in District 7-6A. The Dragon boys' soccer team hosts Colleyville Heritage at 7:30 p.m. at Dragon Stadium. The Dragons are in third place in district.

Carroll State Champions Featured on Channel 8
Members of the Carroll Dragons boys' swimming and diving team will be featured on Ch. 8's Sunday High School Sports Special. The boys recently won their fifth consecutive state title. The program airs following the 10 p.m. local news.

With Sympathy
Our sympathy is extended to the family of Board of Trustees President Read Ballew on the recent death of his mother. Memorial services are being held in the Memphis area Saturday.

Relay For Life Southlake Team Captain Meeting March 18
The next Team Captain meeting for this year’s Relay For Life Southlake will be Wednesday, March 18 at the CISD Administration Center from 6-7 p.m. Click here to form a team or join an existing one. Relay For Life Southlake is Friday, May 29 at Carroll High School. This is the sixth year CISD and ACS have teamed up to fight cancer.

Performance Course Now Enrolling for Summer Strength & Conditioning Programs
Performance Course provides all Carroll ISD students with an unrivaled approach to progressively improving athletic ability. Applications Being Accepted for Annual Scholarship Opportunity
The Southlake Women’s Club provides an annual scholarship opportunity to Carroll ISD graduating seniors. This year, the Foundation will award $15,000 in scholarship money. All applicants should plan to be enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school by the first fall semester following the announcement of the scholarship award. The Southlake Women’s Club is proud to assist graduating seniors in fulfilling their college aspirations. Scholarship applications and guidelines are posted on the SWC website. Applications must be post-marked by April 15.

CSHS Key Club Hosting Golf Fundraiser March 28
The Carroll Senior High School Key Club is hosting a charity golf tournament as it tries to raise $15,000 for the Children's Miracle Network, Southwest Kids and Key Club. The event will be held Saturday, March 28 at Sky Creek Ranch. The cost is $150 per player or $550 per foursome. Raffle contests, hole contests and a banquet will also be part of the event.
