Carroll Swimmers/Divers Competing at UIL State Meet
Members of the Carroll Dragon boys' and girls' swimming and diving teams are competing at the UIL Class 6A State Meet today and Saturday at the Texas Swim Center in Austin. Follow the UIL website for results this weekend.
Carroll High School Art Students Headed to State
Young artists at Carroll High School are getting ready for the next round in the VASE competition. VASE stands for Visual Art Scholastic Event. Carroll Family Comedy Night Tonight
The Dragon Debate boosters present Carroll Family Comedy Night tonight from 7-9:00 p.m. The event will feature two professional comedians, Damon Sumner and Dean Lewis from Last Comic Standing, and is appropriate for the whole family! Tickets at the door are $5 for students and $8 for adults or buy online at DragonDebate.com. Concessions and Dragon Plaid spirit wear will be available for purchase at the show.
Southlake Style Releases Winter Edition of Popular HS Sports Publication
This week’s mail will have a special something for fans of Carroll ISD sports. Southlake Style has once again expanded its popular high school sports publication Dragon Pride with a winter edition. With the latest edition, Dragon Pride will now have three distinct issues each school year. Highlighting two-sport great Madison Drescher on its first cover, Dragon Pride Winter highlights Southlake’s girls and boys sports teams including: basketball, cross country, wrestling, swim & dive, and volleyball.
Debate Team Earns Top Honors at Harvard Tourney
Members of the Carroll Dragon Debate team battled the elements, including record-setting snowfall, as well as the toughest competition in the country last week. Azhar Hussain became the first Carroll debate member to win this prestigious event.

Carroll Jazz Orchestra Featured Saturday
Students in Carroll’s Jazz Orchestra join UNT’s prestigious One O’Clock Lab Band for the APEX Arts League’s annual Jazz Festival. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 21 at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Students from Naaman Forest and Rowlett High Schools will also participate in the concert. Donations are $10 at the door for adults and $5 for students, seniors and Apex members. For more information click here.
CSHS Key Club Hosting Golf Fundraiser
The Carroll Senior High School Key Club is hosting a charity golf tournament as it tries to raise $15,000 for the Children's Miracle Network, Southwest Kids and Key Club. The event will be held Saturday, March 28 at Sky Creek Ranch. The cost is $150 per player or $550 per foursome. Raffle contests, hole contests and a banquet will also be part of the event. This year's show on March 1 at 2 p.m. features Southlake's 75 Junior and Senior male and female models with a guest star contestant from The Voice, Cole Wilkinson. Over 90% of the runway stars are CISD students. This year’s show is where New York Fashion Week meets Broadway. Tickets are available at nclsouthlake.org.
