Liftoff! NASA Party Tonight at Carroll ISD Observatory
Eubanks Intermediate School and Dawson Middle School are excited to offer students the opportunity to participate in the first NASA Student Launch Party at Carroll ISD’s Observatory tonight (on the Johnson Elementary campus) from 6-8 p.m. The purpose of NASA’s Student Launch Party is to promote NASA’s upcoming Multiscale Magnetosphere Mission (MMS), which is set to launch March 12. Dragon Wrestlers Competing at Regional Meet

Durham Crowns Spelling Bee Champ

Carroll Hosting North Texas Region OM Tourney
Mark your calendars for Creativity on Saturday, Feb. 28 when CISD hosts the North Texas Region Odyssey of the Mind Tournament at Carroll High School from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A record 68 teams from across North Texas will compete, including 23 teams from Carroll. Read more on MySouthlakeNews.com.
Carroll AP Boosters Now Accepting Scholarship Applications
Graduating Carroll ISD seniors are eligible to apply for a $1,000 scholarship from the AP Booster Club. Complete details include application requirements are available by clicking here. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 27.
Flu Shots Offered at Next Week's Dragons Go Red Blood Drive
This year Carroll ISD is teaming up with Carroll Senior High School Student Council for a district wide blood drive. The drive will be Thursday, Feb. 19 at CSHS. Carroll ISD sponsor Doctor's Express will be on site administering free flu shots on a first come, first serve basis to blood donors. Underage donors must present a parent waiver before receiving a flu shot, for more information call: 817-488-9922. Click here to make a blood donation reservation online. The Blood Drive is part of Dragons Go Red during the month of February. Additional Dragons Go Red activities include weekly emails from CISD Health Services, and donations to the American Heart Association for the opportunity for staff to wear jeans on Thursdays throughout the month. CSHS Key Club Hosting Golf Fundraiser
The Carroll Senior High School Key Club is hosting a charity golf tournament as it tries to raise $15,000 for the Children's Miracle Network, Southwest Kids and Key Club. The event will be held Saturday, March 28 at Sky Creek Ranch. The cost is $150 per player or $550 per foursome. Raffle contests, hole contests and a banquet will also be part of the event. Sponsors are also being accepted for each hole for $75 by contacting Allison Alonzo at allylovesgolf@gmail.com.

Southlake Basketball Hosting Tryouts Sunday
Southlake Basketball will host boys' and girls' spring/summer team tryouts for grades 5-9 Sunday, Feb. 15 at Carroll Senior High School. Session I will be for grades 5-6 from 2-3:45 p.m. Session II will be for grades 7-8 from 4-5:45 p.m. Session III will be for 9th graders from 6-7:45 p.m. The tryout skills session is free. The season will run from late March through June. Deadline to register is Feb. 14. On-site registration will also be available. Click here to register.
