The Saugerties Farmers Market is committed to encouraging local agriculture, helping to stem the loss of farmland, and supporting the Saugerties Village Historic Business District.

Opening Day Join us Saturday morning at 10 as local officials cut the ribbon to open a new market season and 22 vendors, old and new, bring the best of the Hudson Valley's produce to Saugerties.

The joyful sounds of Passero will keep the market lively and swinging. Blending African, Caribbean, Latin and jazz rhythms, with melodies from many countries, Passero combines the old and new, the ancient and progressive, the traditional and heretical.

Chef James Tamayo will whip up something delicious with peak-of-season ingredients. Recipes and free tastings will also be available!

Art Lab: 
Glossy Paper Flowers 

 

Instructor Rachel Staby shows children how to make beautiful blossoms that stem from magazine pages. They're easy to make, and they inspire creativity.

Master Gardeners from Cornell Cooperative Extension
Master Gardeners Barbara Bravo and Ann Abrams will offer free soil pH  tests, information about upcoming CCE events, and general information for opening the gardening season.

When you've finished shopping, relax and have lunch with friends under the market umbrellas. 

 

In addition to coffee and baked goods, you'll find an assortment of sandwiches and other prepared foods from Karen's Country Kitchen, Me-Oh-My, and Heather Ridge Farms.
