The Junior High Retreat is a time to let youth 5th - 9th grade "retreat" from "busy" and awaken to a spiritual journey. This fun spiritual, relaxing weekend gives us all time to reflect on the important relationships in our lives....including the one with God! Asking questions and finding our own answers is part of the process to help us lead a more authentic life. And, since relationships continually change, it is good for young people to attend several retreat weekends; there is no limit to the number of weekends a 6th-9th grader can attend. Short talks are given on self, friends, siblings, parents, school, love, prayer, Jesus and the Church...that makes for good discussion.  To help us plan, please register by April 15.

Plans are made to make Camp WeMo even bigger, better and longer! Even the name is bigger....it's now Camp WeMo@Wakonda!

Location:  We're excited to announce our new location! Camp Wakonda is a working YMCA camp in southwest Missouri, but we will have it to ourselves before their summer sessions begin. The camp is location is 22237 Lawrence 2080, Ash Grove, MO 65604.

Why come to Camp WeMo?
Because you're going to enjoy being with friends, a wide-range of activities including archery, rappelling, zip lines, rock climbing, swimming, campfires, canoeing, hiking.....and a spiritually inspiring, educational and empowering experience!

Who can come?  Camp WeMo is open to Middle and High School youth (first semester freshman year - June after senior year) and to adults who work with youth.

How much does it cost? 
Fees have increased to cover the additional length of camp. $150 covers a full week of room, board and activities.
