I sat in the pew half-listening half-thinking about our athlete who had passed away.  My heart was feeling sad for all of us who were already missing her.  The change in the priest's voice caused me to look up at him.  "When she would come to take the sacrament, she would always be smiling at me.  I would place it on her tongue, and then she would smile at me, again.  I found myself smiling back."

The Something Special Dinner & Auction is in two short weeks! Join us on June 25th at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa from 6 pm - 10 pm. There are still a few tickets available, so please contact Arlene Armijo at the SONM office by tomorrow at 505-856-0342 to purchase a ticket or table.

Bee the Swarm develops video games, and donates 100% of their revenue earned to charities and causes all over the world. Special Olympics New Mexico is their charity of choice from June 10th-17th. 

How does playing games translate into a donation to SONM? It's easy -  although the games are free, all in-app purchases and ad revenue is donated to SONM for this week.

 BMW Drive for a Cause Benefits SONM!

On June 18th, SONM will be the beneficiary of BMW's Drive For A Cause. Register to test drive a BMW 3 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series, X1 xDrive28i, or X5 xDrive40e and $25 will be donated to SONM. Register by visiting your local BMW Center, calling 1 (800) 956-4BMW, or clicking HERE.


Last chance to register for Legacy Church/UNM Basketball Clinic for SONM athletes
   
On June 21st from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, UNM in partnership with Legacy Church will be  hosting a Basketball Clinic open to all Special Olympics New Mexico athletes. The clinic will be run by Coach Neal and will take place at the Davalos Basketball Practice Facility. It is free of charge to all athletes.

To register for the clinic, please contact Erin Gallegos by Monday June 20th at 505-856-0342 or eringallegos@sonm.org and she will get you signed up.
