Two weeks ago in partnership with the Holman's Foundation, Special Olympics New Mexico hosted the first Albuquerque Public Schools Olympians For Autism Track Meet. Seven elementary schools participated in the unified event, which partnered 61 students on the autism spectrum with 61 of their regular education peers. They had been training together since February.

We have moved the Something Special Dinner & Auction from Sandia Resort & Casino to the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa!

My First Sports Experience to debut at 2016 State Summer Games

As a kick-off to our Young Athletes Communities & Families Program, SONM is inviting children with disabilities and their families to our

Summer Games as an introduction to the Movement. In partnership with Rio Grande Down Syndrome Network, children between the ages 2-8 will be able to tour the games with their families on Saturday May 21st and they will participate in their first Special Olympics sports activities!

Run the Mother's Day 5K and support SONM!

Join us for the 2016 Mother's Day 5K! This Mother's Day Race

is a 5K Run & Fitness Walk and a 1K Kids Fun Run! The event will be held on the scenic Albuquerque Academy cross country course on May 8th! The morning will be filled with music, raffles, and fitness for all levels of athletes! And the best part is that a portion of the race proceeds will go to Special Olympics New Mexico.
