The weather is warming up, that means the summer is around the corner - and so is the Something Special Dinner & Auction presented by New Mexico Chevy Dealers! This dinner and auction event benefiting Special Olympics New Mexico will take place on June 25th at Sandia Resort & Casino. Special  Olympics supporters will gather for a night of food, fun and some pretty neat stuff - all for a good cause. Attendees can expect a silent auction with great items, followed by a delicious dinner and a live auction.

Law Enforcement Torch Run News!  

3rd annual LETR Guns vs. Hoses Hockey Game for Special Olympics this Saturday at ABQ Outpost Ice Arena

On Saturday, March 26th the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics is hosting its 3rd annual LETR Guns vs. Hoses Hockey Game! Police officers from four different law enforcement agencies around the state will face off again Albuquerque Fire Department in a fast and physical game of ice hockey!

The puck drops at 10:30am at the Outpost Ice Arena in Albuquerque. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 14 years and under. Spend $20 on tickets and receive a free 2016 LETR dry-fit long sleeve shirt.

2nd annual LETR Germaine Casey Motorcycle Competition raises over $27,000 for SONM

A huge congratulations to our Law Enforcement Torch Run agency Rio Rancho PD who earlier this month held an LETR event that raised over $27,000 for Special Olympics New Mexico!

On March 11th & 12th, LETR Rio Rancho PD's Motor Unit hosted over 40 law enforcement motor officers for the 2nd annual LETR Germaine Casey Motorcycle Training and Competition to benefit Special Olympics New Mexico.

LETR RRPD used the event to help motor officers hone their skills, as well provide awareness and fundraising for Special Olympics New Mexico.  LETR Rio Rancho Police Dept.'s Motor Unit teamed up once again with Intel to make this event a big success and a huge community event-drawing the likes of Rio Rancho Mayor Greg Hull, RRPD Chief Mike Geier, and Albuquerque PD Chief Gorden Eden. Last year, the event raised $8,000 for Special Olympics New Mexico.

One more week to be a "Rebel with a Cause"       

Rebel Donut will be continue to sell their special Anti R-Word donuts at both locations every Wednesday until the end of March. These donuts are not only delicious and decorated awesomely, they are also Spreading the Word to End the Word. As an added bonus Rebel is donating fifty cents per donut back to SONM.

Spend this Mother's Day getting some exercise and giving back to SONM! 

Join us for the 2016 Mother's Day 5K! This Mother's Day Race is a 5K Run & Fitness Walk and a 1K Kids Fun Run! The event will be held on the scenic Albuquerque  Academy cross country course on May 8th! The morning will be filled with music, raffles, and fitness for all levels of athletes! And the best part is that a portion of the race proceeds will go to Special Olympics New Mexico.
