Holiday Classic brings Bowling, Basketball and Bocce back to the south   

After a short hiatus, Holiday Classic returns to Las Cruces. Next weekend, October 30th-31st, athletes from all areas of the state will come together for a weekend of spirited competition in Bowling, Basketball and Bocce. Healthy Athletes will also be present at the competition with FUNFitness, Special Smiles, Opening Eyes, and Health Promotions venues. All athletes are welcome and encouraged to stop by for a free health screening.

Start the holiday season right at the Posole Ole Fun Walk!       
The holiday season is right around the corner and so is the 2015 Posole Ole Fun Walk! This year's event will take place on December 5th at the Anderson-Abruzzo International Balloon Museum from 8 am - 11am.

In addition to a walk around the Balloon Museum, there will be pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, festive raffle prizes and crafts, and as always posole!

Law Enforcement Torch Run News!    

Red Robin Tip-A-Cop this weekend!
 
This Saturday, October 24th from 11 am - 8 pm, dine out for a good cause at one of the two Red Robin locations in Albuquerque.

Law enforcement representatives from Belen Police Department and Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office will trade in their handcuffs and badges for gourmet burgers and aprons as part of the national Tip-A-Cop event benefiting Special Olympics. Law enforcement will collect tips and help serve Red Robin restaurant guests. One hundred percent of the tips donated to the officers will benefit Special Olympics New Mexico's athletes and sports programs.

LETR Roller Derby fundraiser brings the action to benefit SONM athletes  
 
 On Saturday, October 24th, LETR's Las Cruces Police Department will host its first-ever LETR Amateur Roller Derby competition to benefit Special Olympics New Mexico. 

The event will take place at the Meerscheidt Recreation Center located at 1600 E Hadley Ave from 6 pm - 8 pm. Halftime entertainment will include 50/50 raffle. Bring your friends and family members out to support your local law enforcement officers and Special Olympics athletes!

LETR officers set to carry flame and award medals at 2015 SONM Holiday Classic
 
On Friday, October 30th, LETR agencies Dona Ana County Sheriff's, Las Cruces PD, and other local departments will help host the 2015 Special Olympics New Mexico Holiday Classic in Las Cruces. Numerous LETR officers and their family members will be carrying the LETR Flame of Hope torch to help kick off the Games, and also award medals to athletes competing in SONM's Basketball, Bowling, and Bocce events throughout the weekend.

 North Regional Bowling Tournament one month away!
 
With all of the Area Competitions wrapped up, bowlers from the northern part of the state are patiently waiting for their last competition of the year - the 2015 North Regional Bowling Tournament! 

Taking place at Santa Ana Starlight Lanes on November 14th-15th, the North Regional Bowling Tournament will welcome hundreds of bowlers and will cap off the 2015 sports season! For more information, click HERE.
