One of a kind items at the Dinner & Auction
The 2013 Dinner & Auction presented by The Payroll Company is a couple weeks away, and with a surprise guest and plenty of exciting auction items, it is sure to be a night to remember.
Some of the items that will be auctioned off this year include a handmade, stand-up paddle board, donated by Patriot Watercraft; a 4-day, 3-night stay on the Jemez, donated by Nick Calles; a 4-day, 3-night trip for two to Marco Island, Florida with golf at the Marriot Beach Resort, donated by SONM; a week-long stay at Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club in Phoenix, Arizona with four tickets to an Arizona Cardinals game, donated by Debbie and Steven Cito; and finally, a professionally-installed double-car garage door, donated by Precision Door Service and Amarr Garage Doors.

Join the fun and go Over the Edge in 2013! New!
How would you like to be a part of one of the most exhilarating fundraising events that New Mexico has to offer? Well, look no further than Over the Edge for Special Olympics  New Mexico. This event will not only get your heart rate going as you rappel off the 16-story New Mexico Bank and Trust Building in downtown Albuquerque, but your participation will also benefit over 2,600 Special Olympics New Mexico athletes. This year's Over the Edge will take place on Friday, September 20th beginning at 9 am! Sign up and receive a free training session at Stone Age Climbing Gym on either Sunday, September 15th from 4-6pm or Monday, September 16th from 7-9 pm. Just around the Corner - Four Corners Invitational! New!
Believe it or not, another State Competition is coming up! The 2013 Four Corners Invitational is on August 16-18 in Farmington, with Area Competitions starting next week.This year, Unified Flag Football will make its SONM debut, in addition to the traditional Unified Golf, Unified Softball, and Aquatics events. Registration deadline for the Four Corners Invitational is July 8th, so if your delegation wants to participate, make sure to get your registration packets in by Monday. July is the month to hold a Chili's Tip-A-Cop! New!
Attn LETR officers: Special Olympics New Mexico has developed a relationship with Chili's Restaurants...and now we want you to as well!  Simply contact a Chili's General Manager and set your Tip-A-Cop date. Click HERE to see a list of General Manager's locations and contact information. After you have set the date with the GM, contact the LETR Liaison at SONM and request posters, donation envelopes, and credit card/donation forms. You can also sell merchandise and/or Torch Icons to "Cover the Cruiser" if your agency will allow it.Even if you have participated or have volunteered for a Tip-A-Cop event, click HERE to read through our guidelines. The Mighty, Mighty Torch Run - Blog
Another successful Torch Run across New Mexico!
Year after year, we all are given word that it's time to carry the Flame of Hope torch for Special Olympics. We sign ourselves up, mark the dates on our calendars, and collect the details from our route coordinators. Many of us, if not all, even throw in some fun and challenging workouts to prepare. I know I do...:)
And sooner than we think, the day of our Torch Run for Special Olympics arrives, and we find ourselves together - LETR officers, family members, sponsors and supporters-on roads and highways.
