Thoughts From Randy
Us As I drove into work this morning thinking about new beginnings, my thoughts drifted from our organizational strategic goals to the team of people I will be working with to make them happen.  I reminded myself that people determine potential - not salaries, not increased or decreased revenue, not the best strategic plan in the world - but people. In this case, I am speaking of a diverse group of people who will show up to work every day for the sole purpose of making a difference in the lives of New Mexico's Special Olympics athletes and their families. I can tell you this group is creative, hard-working, opinionated, driven, and - most of the time - fun.

As we ring in the New Year, we are excited to announce the State Competition schedule for 2013! This schedule is subject to change as we wait for venue confirmations, but mark your calendars for the upcoming dates!

Get ready to hit the rinks...Poly Hockey season is open! New!
The 2013 Poly Hockey season is officially OPEN!  We are excited to once again be returning to McGee Park in Farmington from February 22-23, to start this year off with another SONM's best-played team sport! To be sure when your area competition is, click HERE. Fun Fact: Do you know why this sport is called Poly Hockey? Because the Hockey Sticks are made from Polyurethane! |

LETR News!!! New!
Freezin' for a Reason at Four Corners LETR Polar Plunge for Special Olympics!
Four Corners Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) officers are holding their second annual Polar Plunge for Special Olympics, and they hope to make it bigger and better than last year! Mark your calendars for:

Festivities begin at 11:00
Raise $100 to take the plunge and support your local Special Olympics athletes. Plunge by yourself or bring a team. Or if you are too chicken to plunge, you can raise $100 and hang out in the Chicken Coop! Prizes will be given for best costumes and most money raised.
