Welcome to Summer! It's a great time of year to slow down, spend some time in nature, and explore new self-care practices.
I'm teaching a weekly meditation class this summer in West Newton, offering Reiki One and Reiki Two, and have a special chakra workshop planned for August.

Reiki Jin Kei Do classes
Usui Reiki in the lineage of Seiji Takamori
 Reiki training strengthens your ability to offer healing to yourself and others through meditation, gentle hand placements, and a compassionate presence.
The lineage of Reiki I teach and practice is Reiki Jin Kei Do, which means "Reiki in the way of wisdom and compassion."
Reiki Jin Kei Do, Level One
This class is appropriate for anyone who would like to learn Reiki self-treatment and treatment of others. No prior experience with Reiki required.

Buddho-EnerSense Level One
Advanced Reiki Jin Kei Do training
What's next after Reiki Two? In our lineage, we are blessed with the  opportunity to study the sacred teachings Seiji Takamori learned from the monks in his travels. We call these teachings Buddho-EnerSense.
I think of Buddho as the "roots of Reiki." The study and practice of Buddho-EnerSense allows you to expand your meditation and healing practice, both in self-healing and treatment of others. Although based in Buddhism, this practice is for Reiki practitioners of any background.
Pre-requisite: Reiki Jin Kei Do, Level Two OR Reiki Level Two from another lineage with phone interview. Those who have not had Reiki Jin Kei Do Level Two will meet with me outside of class to go over some lineage-specific topics. In Buddho-EnerSense Level One, you will learn: - The Buddho Meditation (cycles 1 - 3)
- Chi Nadi Exercises (flowing physical exercises)
- Use and meaning of five sacred symbols
- Advanced treatment techniques and breathing that can be integrated into Reiki treatment
- Buddho-EnerSense Level One empowerment, certificate, and manual
The class fee is sliding scale $400 - $500 for Reiki Jin Kei Do students and $500 for others. You can make several smaller payments.

Balance your chakras with meditation and aromatherapy
In this class you will learn about the seven major chakras (energy centers) of the human body. We'll practice a simple chakra meditation to help you feel more relaxed and focused. We will also learn which essential oils are used to balance each chakra. We will discuss the healing properties of these oils, how they relate to each chakra, and methods of application.
Christine will offer a personalized chakra reading for each participant. The reading can help to identify areas of potential growth (career, wellness, relationships, etc.) since each of the chakras is associated with different aspects of the self.
After having your personalized reading, Cher will help you create a customized aromatherapy blend based on your needs.
Instructor bios:
Christine Radice is a Reiki Jin Kei Do Master/Teacher and has been practicing Reiki since 2002. She offers Reiki treatments and classes, chakra and intuitive readings, and meditation for stress management classes.

Weekly Meditation Classes at Bodywise Wellness Center in West Newton
Tuesdays, 6:30pm - 7:30pm

In this class, we will share meditations that facilitate relaxation, peace, and a sense of connection. The meditations we will practice can be used anywhere, in just a few minutes a day, to lead you to a more balanced life. We'll explore relaxing breathing techniques, lovingkindness meditation, guided visualization, chakra energy meditations, and more. No previous meditation experience necessary.
If you have not been to a class at Bodywise before, your first class is free! After that each class is $20 or purchase a 4 - class pass for $72. For those coming by car, street parking is available or park right next door at Trader Joe's. Bodywise is also on a number of MBTA bus routes.
