Jewish Federations Enhance Life for Young Families in Argentina
Programs supported by Jewish Federations offer essential support for vulnerable young families in Argentina. The Baby Help program, developed by the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), provides nearly 600 Argentinian babies and children with formula, vitamins, medicine, clothing, diapers, baby equipment, parental counseling and other services. By situating the Baby Help Daycare Center at the new senior citizens' home and community complex in Buenos Aires, JDC has also created an intergenerational programming model benefiting young and old.
