Websites Upgrades

We finally finished up with a series of upgrades to our website particularly the page for the Rooms and Rates. In the past it has been a little confusing with a page for the main level room, another for the upstairs and then one for the "Terrace Level" rooms. About half the time new visitors to the website could only find the five upstairs pictures. If they could find the Terrace level pictures they didn't understand where the rooms were. So much for "Terrace Level". We reorganized the layout so all the rooms are on one page with links to more pictures and details of the individual pages.
Getting good photos of the rooms has been a real challenge as well. I took some of the original ones and since then we had friends and professionals try. We even got Karen Peron a guest that won our photo contest and took such great shots of the great

room work on them. She did a good job and we are using some of her shots. Last September we discovered Scott Arthur, a photographer in Asheville, who had the right equipment and lots of experience shooting interiors. It was still a challenge but we were real pleased with the out come. Here is a sample of his work on the Luhn house.

| Our "New" Winter Rates Start January 1st - Wildflower Room Reduced |

 Our winter rates start January 1st and go to March 31st with savings on all the rooms of up to 18%. We also adjusted the price on the Wildflower Room. In the past it has been the same price as the Fern Room since they both had two person whirlpool tubs. Over the years we have added the kingsize bed and the HD TV to the Fern Room but not the Wildflower Room so we have lowered the price. We still have the lower midweek rates for more savings Sunday thru Thursdays. Those making spur of the moment trips you can get an additional 10% discount with our Last Minute Special when rooms are available and in the winter the odds are better that there will be a room for you. So take advantage of the saving and come for a cozy winter get away.

Kissin' Santas ; Another BnB Story

Just because you wake up at a romantic B&B during a cheerful Christmas season doesn't mean that everything is hunky-dory. A few years ago all the tables were set with our Christmas season decorations including our Kissing Santas carefully positioned in their lip to lip stance. Jodee was serving juice to a couple that had just come down for breakfast when she noticed the Santas weren't even close to their usual smootch, in fact they had their backs to each other. So Jodee reached down and put them back lip to lip. Immediately the lady at the table returned them to their back to back positions and told Jodee, "they aren't kissing today, ..... in fact, they aren't even talking".
We hope they and all of you are in your kissing moods this year.
