Judy's Corner
Each month, we are going to share some tips and advice from our amazing Esthetician, Judy Enlow. We are calling this Judy's Corner! If you have any questions you'd like Judy to address in a future issue, please email us your question.

Did you know that your skin can look older in the winter? The extremely cold, dry temperatures of the winter months completely depletes our skin of it's protective moisture. Moisture in the skin keeps it healthy and looking youthful. Two products I urge almost every client to have in their arsenal against aging skin is a very good moisturizer and a serum. The moisturizer doesn't have to feel thick and heavy, but needs to be formulated to penetrate deep into the skin as well as to continue to hydrate throughout the day. The serum is used to protect the skin, as well as to reverse damage the skin has received during the summer months. Our GM Collins line has specific formulations for each skin type -- when it comes to skin care, there is no 'one size fits all.'

Community
 We are happy to report that we were able to sponsor four local families through our November community outreach with Our Daily Bread Fairfax. Because you support us, we are able to support these families with meals and gifts this Christmas season. We urge you to take a brief moment to read more about this incredible organization on our blog.
For the month of December, we will be donating $1 from every haircut to The Lamb Center. It's sad to say, but the truth is when most see a homeless person on the street, we want to look the other way. Mother Teresa once said, "We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty." The Lamb Center looks at Fairfax's homeless in the eyes, and with loving arms, brings them in for food, shelter, and encouragement. Congrats to stylist Megan Purvis, who wed her sweetheart Eric Miquelon on Saturday, November 23rd! Here's a pic of the beautiful bride and handsome groom sharing their first bite of cake! Megan is currently on her honeymoon and will be back December 13th, 2013.
