May is for Mom's, Memorial Day, gardens, warmer weather, fun, and festivals. Our fair season starts to gear up. The plants are growing and the dehydrator is starting to hum!!! Hooray! We've got violets, dandelion, plantain, chickweed, and all kinds of wonders. Things are really waking up and we're ready for them. Hopefully you are, too!

Merry, Silly May
Sometimes even I am amazed by the days that are celebrated throughout the year.
13th - Chicken Dance Day! Yes indeed. While your waiting in line at the store or for the bus or train, just start humming the song and doing the dance. We all know it so let's go!
16th - Sea Monkey Day. Because even the lowly sea monkey deserves a day to be treated special.
20th - Pick Strawberries Day! But check with your favorite pick your own farm first to make sure they're ready.
29th - Put a Pillow On Your Fridge Day. Or in your fridge if it's a hot day. Might feel pretty good - and could bring good luck.

A Gleeful Welcome to
Queen of the Pirate Seas Water & Toner
 We've been making our Face Toner since Celtic Chairde was born lo those many moons ago. Joanne was making it and using it long before then. After all this time, we felt it was appropriate to give the toner it's proper name - and so we give you Queen of the Pirate Seas Water & Toner.
You may have heard of Queen of Hungary Water. This infused and blended vinegar was used by the Queen and said to have given her a youthful and glowing skin.
Our legend has it that Gráˇnne O'Malley, the Pirate Queen of Ireland, was given the recipe for Queen of Hungary water by a former servant of the Hungarian ruler. Gráinne was taken by the way the way the waters made her skin feel - soothing while cleaning the salty grime of the seas. Gráinne added additional herbs and floral waters, gathered from the many sailors and traders she "met" in her travels. And so her recipe was passed through the ages until we unearthed it from grandmothers' notebook. We continue to share this amazing toner, cleanser, hair rinse and skin soother with you.
