The secret is out...
Queen of the Pirates
Water & Toner
More than just a face toner, this ancient blend of vinegar, herbs and hydrosols gently cleans, tones & tightens your skin. It normalizes pH, reduces the sting of insects, & can even be used as a hair rinse. We've been making our face toner for years, but in celebration of St. Patrick's Day and all things Irish, we decided to spill the secret and change the name. Legend has is that Gráˇnne O'Malley, the Pirate Queen of Ireland, was given the recipe for Queen of Hungary water while on her travels. It was given to her by a former servant of the Hungarian ruler. Gráinne was taken by the way the way the water made her skin feel. She added different herbs and ingredients gathered from the many sailors and traders she "met". And so her recipe was passed through the ages - until we found it and brought it to you.

 Tater Talk
I love potatoes - and not just because I'm part Irish and it's St. Patrick's Day time. They are such useful tasty tubers. These versatile tubers are more than just a perfect side dish. This vitamin and mineral packed package has so many other uses. - Place a slice of peeled, fresh potato on your tied eyes to help sooth and cool them.
- A poultice made from raw, grated potatoes can be used to treat bruises and black eyes.
- A slice can also be used to help relieve redness and pain from burns.
- Save the watery juice from boiled or mashed potatoes! Drinking it is said to help with stomach problems.
- Vodka can be made from potatoes!
- I love this tidbit - after you've boiled your potatoes and removed them from the pot, throw in your silver! Potato water is said to help remove tarnish and brighten silver.
- And, there's always the potato stamp! Just cut a potato in half, carve a pattern into one side. Pull out the ink and start stamping.
