Business Service Coordinator (OJT)

 

The purpose of this position is to cover all sales functions for a Workforce Training Agency. Duties will include forecasting, solicitation, and securing contract orders from potential businesses who are interested in hiring on the job trainees to fill vacancies with their businesses.

  

Applicant must have the ability to understand and interpret pertinent policies and procedures, and federal regulations. Must have excellent communication skills, and the ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the business community.

  

Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints. High level of computer skills is a must. Applicant must have a bachelor degree and four years of responsible sales experience in working with businesses. Must have a valid driver license.

Thorough knowledge of plan review, permitting and inspection processes for federal state and local compliance; thorough knowledge of departmental functions and how they relate to the Fire Rescue, Historic Development, Zoning, Engineering, Traffic Engineering, and Planning Departments and to FEMA; thorough knowledge of applicable codes, ordinances, standards, rules and regulations; ability to read and interpret building and construction plans, specifications and documents; ability to collect data and define and solve problems; ability to multi-task under pressure; ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities for self and subordinates; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with elected officials, architects, engineers, developers, contractors, property owners, attorneys and the general public.
