The purpose of this position is to cover all sales functions for a Workforce Training Agency. Duties will include forecasting, solicitation, and securing contract orders from potential businesses who are interested in hiring on the job trainees to fill vacancies with their businesses.


 

Applicant must have the ability to understand and interpret pertinent policies and procedures, and federal regulations. Must have excellent communication skills, and the ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the business community.


 

Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints. High level of computer skills is a must. Applicant must have a bachelor degree and four years of responsible sales experience in working with businesses. Must have a valid driver license.

Training Program


 

Would you like the opportunity to participate in and receive the necessary skills in the Aircraft industry?  

VT Aerospace is interviewing for their paid on-the-job training program.  This opportunity is a 2-year training program in conjunction with the Alabama Aviation School (Enterprise College).

Machine Shop Machinist -Job order # 1468578 

 

The Machine Shop Machinist will be responsible for the preparation and repair of various parts and components using standard aerospace practices and principles in accordance with the applicable maintenance manuals. In addition, the Machine Shop Machinist must be proficient using a variety of hand tools, special tools and measuring tools required to perform assigned task. The Machine Shop Machinist will follow company policy and Repair Station Manual for all work completed.

 

Job Duties:

* Performs specialized repairs to parts and components in accordance with the overhaul manuals using a variety of machine tooling, lathe, milling machine, grinders, etc. Performs daily task as directed by the Production Coordinator and Lead Machinist. * Maintains proficiency using a variety of hand tools, special tools and measuring tools required to perform assigned task * Performs repairs on various parts and components. * Suggest changes to product methods or procedures to increase efficiency of Support Shops and promote improvement. * Ensures all FAA standards are understood and met. * Obtains needed information and data from FAR's, bulletins and maintenance manuals to perform assigned maintenance functions. * Maintains a clean work environment. * Ensure diligent use of Pentagon. * Other duties may be assigned.

The Inspector is responsible for detail inspections of gas turbine engine and propeller components and assemblies in accordance with the approved technical data and SAC policies/procedures. The inspector will be knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, hard gages, dial bores gages, height gages and other surface plate equipment. The inspector will also maintain accurate records of inspections.

Job Duties:

* Complete daily inspection assignments as directed by the lead inspector. * Assists with job training other inspection personnel in the completion of inspection responsibilities. * Instructs production personnel in proper procedures for compliance with product/company standards. * Reads and interprets blueprints with GD&T to determine part conformity. * Completes inspection in accordance with approved technical data. * Examines material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and incomplete welds. * Compares product with parts list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly. * Uses precision measuring instruments to complete inspection. * Rejects defective parts, and marks type of defect on part, container of parts, or inspection tag. * Communicates with lead about related to quality issues or concerns. * Utilize the electronic database to complete transactions. * Completes paperwork required for quality system. * Keeps a clean work environment using continuous improvement tools. * Maintains an understanding of the methodology, employed by bureaucratic and government organizations, and, skills, to deal with the requirements and systems imposed by these organizations. * Other duties may be assigned.
