MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Attainment of a minimum of a master's degree from a recognized college or university in public health administration, health planning, public administration or closely related field and a minimum of one year experience at the level of a Public Health Bureau Director; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE WORK: Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, practices and objectives of public health administration; good knowledge of community health problems and community resources; good knowledge of general accounting principles; good knowledge of various computer software; good knowledge of environmental issues; good knowledge of state and local laws and regulations concerning construction; ability to interpret multiple program objectives, regulations and policies; ability to budget and manage large fund accounts; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with officials of public and private organizations, other
