MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from a standard senior high school, or the successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test, and preferably enrollment in a recognized college or university pursuing a bachelor's degree in a social or behavioral science

 

 

Supervises juveniles in the Strickland Youth Center; admits new residents and records pertinent information; conducts body search of juveniles admitted to the facility; examines all clothing and packages; oversees leisure time and recreational activities; briefs incoming shift of any problems; administers medication or first-aid as prescribed; maintains adequate supply of linens and toiletries; instructs detained juveniles in the institution's routine; performs a variety of housekeeping and custodial tasks; instructs and supervises juveniles, either male or female, in personal hygiene and the care of living quarters; assigns and supervises juveniles in the performance of general housekeeping duties; escorts residents to school, medical appointments, and court arranged transportation, counseling, or such non routine destinations; maintains the security of the facility; keeps records and prepares reports; performs related work as required.
