Would you like the opportunity to participate in and receive the necessary skills in the Aircraft Industry? ST Aerospace is interviewing for their paid on the job training program. This opportunity is a two year training program in conjunction with the Alabama Aviation School. Initial testing for the program will take place onthe March 14.

Job Description:

  • Mechanical ability and aptitude
  • A comfort level on/around heavy moving equipment/large machinery
Ability to travel North America 100% of the time. Average travel assignments last 6 to 12 weeks in duration before returning home for a 2 week unpaid time-off period. The job will not be based near your place of residence and relocation is not required or expected.

 

THIS POSITION STARTS AT $10.00 PER HOUR FOR NEW HIRES

As a new hire, you can expect to earn between $35,000 to $45,000 your first year.

*Time and a half is paid after 40 hours per week. Typical work hours are 12-14 hours per day and 70-75 hours per week. Hours may be longer or shorter depending on operational needs.

Patrols the city or a designated area in a radio equipped car to preserve law and order, to prevent and discover fires, to prevent commission of crime, to direct traffic and to enforce motor vehicle operation and parking regulations; at fire scenes, lays and connects hose, holds nozzles and directs water streams; raises and climbs ladders and uses chemical fire extinguishers, bars, hooks, lines and other equipment; drives fire apparatus as needed; investigates traffic accidents and fills out accident reports; answers calls and complaints involving fires, automobile accidents, robberies, neighborhood disturbances and other misdemeanors and felonies; testifies as a witness in court in connection with arrests and citations made; makes preliminary and follow-up investigations on burglaries, larceny, dog bites and any other offenses where investigations are necessary; performs general maintenance work in the upkeep of the firefighting equipment such as hanging and drying hose, cleaning apparatus and making minor repairs to various equipment; may do identification work with fingerprints and photography; administers first aid at the scene of emergencies; attends training courses in law enforcement and firefighting and prevention; fingerprints arrested persons and photographs them; operates a radar unit to enforce traffic laws; maintains jail and prisoners; transports prisoners; receives emergency and non-emergency calls and dispatches personnel as appropriate; performs related work as required.
